Au contraire, us southerners are the ones with the smaller houses for double the price so we can't fit large trees in the rooms !

Multitasking watching Sports Personality of the year. That lass who won the 2 gold swimming medals is well odds on favourite. Hamilton, the youngest ever F1 Champion at 3/1 looks the better bet to me.

Not at all, harrowing. We've just done ours today. Great fun; very relaxed. When my youngest was younger she used to just plonk the nicest baubles on and I'd be hovering ready to alter things for the best aesthetic effect! Thankfully this year she seems to have grasped the finer nuances of christmas tree decorating, i.e. correct spacing between baubles; not too much of the same colour in any one area; and making sure they hang rather than sit on the branch below.
Very satisfied with the result (kind of retro - I have some wonderful old baubles - 50s style, a riot of colour).

Forgot my main point in my excitement of describing the tree decorating experience:

Christmas starts far too early each year. If you have the decs up too early it all gets very stale by the time Christmas Day arrives. Now is perfect timing. I am also a stickler for keeping the tree until 12th night. Three weeks of tree is plenty in my book.

By the way, wasn't yesterday's weather just the WORST ever. So depressing.

Has Suesie made an appearance yet?
