Hi everyone.:santa2:
I've posted a few times on the November GC thread and I'd like to join in for December please. I've kept a spending diary since 10th November so from that I've worked out a daily spend so for November I must have spent over £500  on groceries. So for December I think I'll aim for £500 as we've got family over for all the holiday period. I feel embarrassedadmitting how much we spend on groceries, even though there are five of us, when I see what everyone else spends, but at least its a step in the right direction.

MrsM please could you put me down for £180 for December.
I have just about all my meat in the freezer, just need odd bits like decent sausage meat and bacon. Still eating other things out of storecupboard and freezer so hope to be able to get a few more treats.
Should have DS and DD2 over on Xmas day but only for a few hours and I will be working the weekdays between Xmas and New Year so there may not be many excuses for over doing it.
Will continue over on the November thread until Sunday night - see you all soon.0 -
Can I be put down for £450 for December please?
I'll also be budgeting £100 for petrol.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
I can not belive that this is the last month of 2008, how scary is that.
Anyways I have declared my budget and intend to stick to it. I have done some shopping today which I am declaring as December as it is food for next week. So a nice small £27 of budget used already, although it was not my money ish.
Any ways this month I am going to concetrate on making meals in the slow cooker and freezing left overs. I am also going to look at cheap meal ideas to cut the budget down a bit.
If I get stuck I will come and ask advice from you wonderfull peeps.

Can I join, please?
Our family circumstances have changed recently and I need to reign in the budget.
Normally I would spend £265 a month for 2 adults, 1 teenager, a dog and a cat. This includes all cleaning stuff, toiletries, pet food etc.
I'd like to get it down to £200 for December if possible I've started a spending diary so I can see where the money goes.
My difficulty is that DS (17) doesn't eat much but likes certain things that bump up the cost of our weekly shop - certain branded cereals, pizza etc.
Looking forward to being part of this challenge.

Hi everyone,
It's my first Grocery Challenge this month. Thanks everyone for inspiring me to take part. My month started on Tuesday (25th is payday) and so far have spent £48.91 at Mr T, S & A. I now have 4 lots of bolognese sauce in the freezer (for spagbol, shepherd's pie, chili & lasagne) as well as 2 lots of lamb curry and a few meals worth of sausages and burgers. Stew is currently simmering away as well (2 lots destined for the freezer again) and chicken is marinading for tonight. Yes indeed, I like to cook:j .
OH is a bit of a carnivore and I can only get away with 1 or 2 veggie meals a month without him complaining. I don't really mind to be honest since he never eats breakfast and during the week rarely eats lunch (not intentionally, but he just gets caught up in work). So he is keeping those costs down.
Does this sound like a good start?:cheesy::cheesy: Cheese… milk's leap toward immortality :cheesy: :cheesy:Clifton FadimanFeb'11 - GC: £105.89/£125 - NSD: 15:jMar'11 GC: £3.84/£100 - NSD: 00
