That's a cracking film. It's alongside 'Officer and Gentleman' for top 'boot camp' dramatisations. "I have nowhere else to go. I have nowhere else to go".
Hmnn, seems like a refrain that is accurate for many HPC board people. Myself included

There's a rule Chez Generali. If you break a bone 3 sporting outings running then you no longer get a lift to A&E.
OH had a habit of breaking bones when he was a teenager, starting with smashing his elbow when he was racing moutain bikes.
His last break happened when he was 17, and his parents made him drive himself to A & E....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Posters on this forum could only come up with 10 people IN THE WHOLE WORLD who saw this coming - so I think your slating of the general public was unmerited. Must admit I don't "know" you !!!!!! and it annoyed me. If you chuck mud you can expect it to come back.
WELCOME TO THE BOARD ITS NICE TO HAVE YOU ON BOARD...
PLENTY ON HERE SAW ALL THIS COMING AND POSTED WARINGS BUT SEEMS AS YOU HAVE JUST POPPED UP NOW YOU WOULD NOT KNOW WOULD YOU ....:T
PS.. BEING A CHEF IS BLOODY HARD WORK....It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
This thread was really interesting to start off with. I was learing something from some of the more financially knowledgable peeps, which is why I read this board.
It's sad to see the same old vendettas coming up again and again, and I will point out that the same person (people) attack first, particularly when !!!!!! posts. Some people have little to contribute, but launch into attack on those that do.
We should have a fight club board, for those who want to fight. I fear, however, that it would be so one-sided and narcissistic that the 'fighters' would be back into the fold before too long.
Can someone drag the thread back to where it was :-)I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -

Carry on Sergeant?
I like that....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I like that.
The best carry on film is Carry on Screaming, mainly because they hardly ever show that one and so it's not been seen to death, but also because Harry H Corbett is brilliant.Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

The best carry on film is Carry on Screaming
In 1995 they had a 'Carry On' season at the Barbican Theatre.
That was one of the 4 I went to see.
Carry on Screaming is what happens on most Trading Floors in the City every morning when they turn on their screens.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
