Well Mrs Generali supports Australia in some sports (eg swimming) and England in others ( eg rugby and cycling). I suspect the kids will be won over to the Green and Gold.

She supports the ones likely to win, then (-:

    Not be bound by dogma

Now if everybody could follow that little piece of advice, we might actually get a few "useful" debates on this forum ;)

We've given up on debate, especially on this thread. Why not join us in the Australia, etc. discussion? Far more enjoyable than a load of argie-bargie and rantings.

so.. where do you stand... restaurant work or bar work?

I met a massive Aussie cycling champion on Sunday in a bike shop. It seemed rude to point out he's a dying breed.

    Me: "You any good?"
    Him: "Not bad"
    Me: "uh?"
Him: "Well I was World Champion for 10 years. Fancy coming out for a ride? There's a group of us get together on a Saturday"
Me: "Well I get these terrible pains in my knees these days. Oh, and my back. Don't get me started on that......"

Got to be Bar......more chance of "Tips"
I suspect the kids will be won over to the Green and Gold

They will be no doubt, very quickly.

My 2 sons, had never taken any interest in Soccer, never seen a game or heard of any teams (other than the Tampa Bay Mutiny  ) before we came "home" from the U.S.A. but within about a week they were 'supporting' Chelsea and Liverpool and pleading to be bought shirts.....before that they always wore Lightning and Buccaneers stuff, but they forgot those in a heartbeat !!!!

No doubt the same will happen in reverse, and Aussie Rules will be the game of choice.

I've always fancied playing Aussie Rules (although perhaps as a sub for the last 10 minutes).

There's a rule Chez Generali. If you break a bone 3 sporting outings running then you no longer get a lift to A&E.

Don't apologise, it's welcome change of pace and subject. All these arguments are boring, why can't people just get along?

It's a disgrace that our Housing board is being ruined by a minority of argumentative posters.

    Shame on them!
