Cheers Doodle - I'm actually quite good at saving with sealed jars (£500 or so this year). They're going to play a key part in my plan to get debt free next year (that new diary I mentioned).
I will owe less than £2500 by Christmas and am putting my monthly payments up to £150 next year (£1800 for the year, leaving £700). Saving this last £700 will be the focus of my diary... also looking to save a month's wages and enough for an engagement ring0 -
I am thinking of a new diary too, found myself single again and think I have lost focus on other things in my life over recent months so feel a need for a fresh start.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

I'm guessing by that you mean you, DD and chocolate?
I need a fresh diary start too - a three year timeframe is way to ambitious to attempt in one string!0 -
No I mean DD, me and being mortgage free lol. Or me, dd and getting fit and healthy...........not sure which is easier :rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Just cashed in the change jar - result! Ended up with £175, so all good
Picked up some Christmas wrapping paper and my GF bought us a second duvet (got guests coming over the next month), some tealights and a blanket (which cost a mere £2!)
I paid a chunk of my half into my ISA, stashed £7-8 in cash towards a debt free £2010 and now have £50 for my trip next week. This means that I can keep the £60 expenses which are coming my way for Christmas :santa2:0 -

By yourself? In one night? Wow - I must be turning into a right wuss in my old age. I've had two glasses and am contemplating a pot of tea and the X-Files in front of the goggle box!0
