I'd have preferred 'studly', but a compliment is a compliment...0 -
Right - housework done, groceries put away - time for a shave and some study

Course was vaguely good fun this week and we had a very relaxing Sunday.
I decided to embrace the whole English Sunday roast thing, so we had roast beef with goose fat roasted potatoes, parsnips and carrots roasted with honey and a nice bottle of Fleurie. We ate early and spent the rest of the afternoon/evening in a cheerful bloated dwam
Unfortunately I need to take tomorrow off work as my course books are being delivered by courier (as are my knives). So, a short week for me.
I have now officially quit Dooyoo due to the total lack of suggestions being approved and will be asking them to close my account once I earn my last £10 voucher. Anyway, I'm loving my new style weekends when I get to potter around the house and hang out with my GF a lot more than the vouchers I earned

Good thanks - I'm waiting in for couriers today and am somewhat bored, she's at work being excited about her birthday tomorrow :rotfl:
We're going to an animal park in the morning, then hanging out in Canterbury for a bit (beautiful small city), then off to a Belgian restaurant for huge portions of mussels and beer using a BOGOF voucher from here (the mussels, not the beer) :money:0 -
Couriers finally arrived and I was able to pop into town and get a haircut. Chef knives are terrifying - they're so sharp I actually managed to burst some of the stitching on the wallet designed to carry them

Also managed to pick up a few early(ish) Christmas presents - Sainsbury's had some pretty cool items in their 'buy 3 pay for 2' gifts range and I picked up some useful stocking fillers and some monstrous jars of delicious looking mixed Greek olives (lot of olive fans in my family!)
Looking forward to the GF getting home - lasagne, sparkling rose left over from our recent trip to Germany and a good blether
