But if we do hold out another 9-12 months then we can skip a few rungs. FTB straight in to a nice little four bed house with a reasonable garden at only 3.5 times wage. Much better than 5x wage into a new build 2 bed box I think?you are joking, people in here have polls on unemployent figures, i can imagine them gloating if they are right. what seems depressing is there belief that they are entitled to own a house, and are becoming greedy thinking, if they hold out they will skip a few rungs,
Oh and also paying less on repayments means my OH and I can pay off an extra £300-£400. Don't know how much time this will cut off the total 25 year £130000 mortgage with £25000 deposit but it will go a long way.30th June 2021 completely debt free…. A flat down the road from me has just gone on at 39% off what it went for in February 2006, if that's any consolation.Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!0 -

Why not? Saved well although at the learnt a very harse lesson of buying everything on the never never etc but now know the real value of money. OH Just got a new job on £24k + mine at £35k. Have two kids, 11 and 9, we are in our very early 30's so why buy the typical terrence 1st time buy when we can just go straight in and buy a family home? But if we do hold out another 9-12 months then we can skip a few rungs. Me too........Real Life is so trying.I don't want a life. Prefer MSE.
But can someone please explain to me about the multiple users etc...I am really confused.
For example Dithering Dad....someone said he is Chucky, then you, OP (Andy) are chucky? And is Really2 DD? DD never mentioned owning land and pheasants.
And Pickled Pink?? Is she DD? I ignored it all before but It's getting to me now.
Only because I want too be sure who I am hanging out with during my procrastination time.
Next week, I will be full of self employed discipline and won't be able tro read as much.0 -
Some people have multiple log ins to use as thanking buddies, or users to support their arguments, or perhaps more surprisingly to act as agent provocateurs / devils advocate against their own posting. Some are easy to spot, some less so. The problem with trying to spot them all is that eventually I think you would go crazy / paranoid, such as the people <ahem> who immediately accused me of being someone else when I first 'appeared'. The problem with 'owning' multiple logins is that the same craziness would manifest itself - especially when trying to maintain different 'personalities'.But can someone please explain to me about the multiple users etc...I am really confused.
Personally I can't be bothered to acquire multiple Gmail accounts in order to play those games. Honest. I have enough trouble just keeping this single personality on some kind of sensible track.
edit: Just noticed, 999 posts. Not bad for a thanking buddy troll invented to take the heat off GlamourPuss3. I hope post 1,000 is a corker, sure it won't be.0 -
