    Hi All,

As previously advised for any issues that require us to access an account, check line details, investigate faults or conduct any activity which requires us to complete Data Protection we can only provide this support via the TTMF Forum (http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forum) as we are unable to exchange personal details via MSE.

If any customers are experiencing issues of this nature if you can register on the TTMF forum and post in the relevant section we can provide full assistance to your query.

    Regards

Just to let you know, Talk Talk/Tiscali have finally agreed I do not owe them any money and have called off the Debt Collectors - and they are sorry.. As I replied to them by email - Is That It?? After all they put me through - Is That It?? I have advised them I wish to make an official complaint and again they have replied that they are sorry that their system have failed me. I will be taking it to Otelo the ombudsman.

Following an increase in the number of complaints, Ofcom have just opened an investigation to consider whether the Talk Talk Group has contravened General Condition11.1, which prohibits Communications Providers from billing customers for services that have not been provided :T
Case Reference CW/01051/07/10, Case opened 23/7/10.
If you are a consumer and wish to discuss this case contact Ofcom's Advisory Team on 02079813040 :D

I have also been having problems with Talk Talk with no broadband for days at a time. Their customer service is unbelievable, they say that they ring back the next day between 1-3 but never do .
I am going back to BT at least you can speak to someone who can speak and understand English.

    Hi Balmes,

We cannot provide you with support via the MSE page as we do not have a facility whereby we can exchange personal details. As such we cannot confirm security so require you to register on the Members Forum (http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums) without your registration on the forum we have no visibility of your account and therefore cannot advise you anything specific to this issue.

We can provide general advice via the MSE forum but at the point we need to access your account, such as checking notes verifying call records etc this requires security clearance. The purpose of TalkTalk Representation on MSE is to increase customer engagement and to refer customers to the forum who require more comprehensive account support, rather than general service advice.

Barry51 - If you are experiencing issues with your BB service we can investigate into this via the TalkTalk Members Forum. There are a multitude of reasons why a connection may drop and we would need to look into this in more detail before we can advise you further.

    Regards

  • I am having horrible trouble with TalkTalk and am hoping someone can give me an address that I can write to and KNOW that someone is going to read it. All I want to do is cancel my dial-up account with them.

I have had a dial-up account with tiscali for a number of years with no problems, but since they were taken over by Talktalk it has been a catalogue of errors. These began inoccuously enough with poor service, the dial-up was often unavailable and very slow (teething troubles, I thought). But then when I changed my card, things got so much worse. I forgot to tell them my new card details, and the first thing I knew about it was when I received a letter from a debt collection agency. I phoned Talktalk and updated my details immediately, paying the outstanding balance. I was assured they would tell the debt collection agency. Unfortunately they didn't do so, and the debt collection agency continued to pursue me. Today I recieved a letter from them threatening legal action. So I have had to pay them as well to stop it damaging my credit rating any more than it might have done already (I've now paid a total of £123 since April 2010 (now August) for a service that is supposed to cost £14 a month!) TalkTalk have never at any time contacted my by phone or letter to let me know when payments were outstanding, or to confirm that payments have been made. I can't get into my tiscali email as I forgot the password, and I've asked for it to be reset twice but on neither occasion have I been given the correct new password.

I've now been on the phone for over 3 hours simply trying to cancel my account, I've been on hold FOUR times for more than 20 minutes, moving between one department and another, and when I did get through to the right department was cut off TWICE, before I'd even said anything. This is without doubt the most inept company I've ever dealt with. Their call centre staff are rude, unhelpful and do not do anything that they say they will.

All I want to do is cancel the account, I've emailed them but have little hope that they will take any notice, so I'd like to send a recorded letter to ensure this goes no further. In the interests of my blood pressure I'm not prepared to spend anymore time on the phone to them. If someone could let me know an up-to-date address it would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

    Talk talk ha ha ha

what a joke these people are,

i am a new cutsomer to them and they promised to have me live on the 20th juily, 10 days later after several treated like an idiot phone calls a BT engineer came out and said i was never physically connected.

    now

when i signed up they said there was an offer on for 50% connection fee. great i though i have some of that. so now i have my first bill and guess what. it is for the full connection fee and they now deny making me this offer!!!

so im now sitting here on the phone trying again to get through to their customer services to sort this out.

    anyone got any tips???
  • I sympathise - I've had the same problem since May 21st. I still can't get them to cancel my contract, and they keep promising to. I can't face another long phone call either! I've tried to register on the forum, but it doesn't recognise me.
