any woolworths sales?

  • I popped into our local one today in Walton but to be honest it wasn't really worth the visit. The prices are the same as they always are, things marked up and then going on 'sale' at half price. They had the exact same deals in there a month ago!
  • Thanks to Brand New Day. I don't think I have any recourse if the total is under £100 but it's worth a shot if nothing turns up eh.

    Hi

I ordered a couple of DVDs from Woolworths online and while it says one has been dispatched, the other isn't likely to be until next week. What's worrying me though is that their website is currently down so no link to customer services or my account to find out what's going on and only an 0870 no to call if I get desperate, not guaranteeing anyone will be there!

    Anyone else having this prob?

I can verify that the website went down around 2pm yesterday.

I work for a courier company we deliver Woolworths items, memo sent to all couriers today states "return all items from Woolworths and do not collect any returns from customers".
I doubt we are the only company delivering Woolworths goods but we deliver quite a lot.
    Hope this helps.

    Very sympathetic. NOT!
Just remember when the vultures are circling for bargains, the staff face a very uncertain future and one day they may be circling you for bargains too.

there's nothing i can do about woolworths closing down!!!

We know that. It's just the way you put it over.

I'm sympathetic for anyone who losses their job and I do feel bad about all the staff losing their job especially at Christmas and also feel bad about Woolworths shutting down as I have been going in there reguarly my entire life but it doesn't mean I'm going to not buy any bargains if I see them out of respect for the staff just to let other people buy them instead.

    i agree.

it's like i'm bad for starting this thread!!
