  • Well done Miz. I bet that is a relief for you.

Sorry haven't gone awol again - just struggling to get on to the site during the week! Will have a proper catch up at the weekend. Got my SA submitted online and OH's - and it turns out I had miscalculated mine - and they owe me slightly more than OH owes them! So we are about £20 up. :T That means that the money set aside in the offset can stay there for now - and the debt is continuing the trajectory downwards.

Am having a frustrating time with the matched betting - the last one I tried refused the bonus as it said it had finished - though it was still being advertised, now I have one refusing because it says I didn't sign up with the right link. Well I went through betrescue so will be annoyed if they don't honour it. At least with this one I haven't yet bet anything so worst case is I just withdraw again and find another - but it is annoying!

Two more dooyoo reviews lined up to do - I really need to get back to that regularly - but maybe it will have to be a case of do 6 on a weekend!

Well have barely got on here over the weekend either! Just managing to keep on top of the Debt free in 2009 thread which keeps me motivated but not much time for everything else.

Have been thinking quite a bit though. Following karmacat's lead on what pays best I can say without doubt that the dog training is the best earner of extra money I have. I probably average £15 an hour on that - but can make £20 or more. Other things - dooyoo - probably no more than £4 a hour - but I enjoy it - and MB - depends a lot but probably averages £5-10 an hour (though recently with the stupid bookies not giving the freebies it has been zilch!). Extra work at work - varies - but probably £12-15) - though not reliable. So really I need to maximise the dog training and not worry too much about the rest. So given the hassle I have had with MB of late I have decided to cash in my BF "chips" (I have £245 in there!) and give up on that for now - at least until OH gets her temporary accommodation out west and I can start again from scratch doing all the sensible offers! Will continue to do a few dooyoo reviews and the scratches which take no time. And will look at amazon and ebay sales again. But I am going to spend most of my time working on the dog training - making sure my publicity is good and I maximise the sessions I run. And try to be more efficient with the extra work work that comes along.

So that is the plan. Now off to make some tea!

That sounds an excellent plan Mizmir. There is a real risk of burning ourselves out putting lots of energy into things that make pence, while not pursuing things that make pounds. Best of luck with building up the dog training.

I thought of you the other night while watching Natural World. Did you see it? The programme was about man-eating tigers in Bangladesh - one village is training dogs to be 'tiger hounds' - to raise the alarm and frighten tigers away. A charismatic American dog trainer was brought in to lick the local dogs into shape. Very interesting programme all round!

Excellent plan Miz...very sensible.I don't bother with much anymore as a extra hour or two spent at work for me can be a lot more beneficial than clicking this and that.So know exactly where you are coming from.
Think I need a dog trainer for Tess...or psychiatrist!!!....she knows all her dog commands and does as she's told on that score.Though she has improved greatly since we came home. She is still quite naughty.
I woke up at 1.30am yesterday went to loo everything fine...came downstairs everything fine...stayed up and went to loo at 3am and even though I'd been up she'd managed to open a box of Tampax ..get 3 out, remove the paper wrappings, get them out of their tubes and leave them at the top of the stairs..all in complete silence while I was down here!!...
She also doesn't like us brushing her ..I think she may have been beaten when she was a small puppy before DD got her.
She is absolutely brilliant with other dogs and people (except if they walk past her with a sweeping brush and then she cowers)....
Don't know whether she needs a dog trainer or a dog whisperer type person...she is the most loving softy as well.

Well folks - have decided that I am going to close the diary for the time being. I've got a really heavy stretch at work in the next few months and haven't been keeping up up to now! I am still going to be dropping in on a regular basis to keep up to date on the Debt Free by 2009 thread - not sure if we'll hit that as we have roof repairs and a collapsed drain to sort out in the next few weeks - but we will certainly be trying. But I am taking a philosophical view of this. We both have good salaries, we are knocking a good chunk of the debts each month. Right now that is more or less all I can manage. I don't have time to make more money and apart from a little dog training over the next few months am unlikely to have in the near future. So it may be slower than I would like but I am going to go with what is manageable without adding extra stress from trying to push too hard.

Hopefully will see you around the boards as will be dropping in every now and then. Good luck to all of you.
