  • Hi Welsh Dragon,

Sorry to hear you have been having a bad time, I am pleased things are starting to look up for you, well done in passing your exam. Hope the new year brings you lots of nice things (apart from TD/DR stuff) and all the luck in the world.

  • well done for sticking up for yourself!

once my local boots had sachets of soltan with 'free sample not for sale' printed on teh back so i picked two up and put them in my bag i had round my wrist, a SA came runnign up to me shouting at teh top of her voice "no! no!" , 9it was about three aisles she came down so everyoine was lookimg ta me) she said really loudly "youve taken something!" and put her hand in my bag!

she pulled out teh scaheets and showed me that they had a barcode onteh back (they did but they also said free sample) i showed her teh 'free smaple' bit and she said "no no no no! not free! stolen!" and took my bag off me! and walked upto a manger at teh front of teh store. i had to follow coz shed robbed my bag and everyone had stopped to look at me and i felt liek a criminal for taking 10ml of free soltan!

i was crying and i left. i didnt report it until i finally plucked up teh courage to go in again teh next week. they had teh halth and beauty magazines at teh door and i picked one up as i walked in. a lady from teh no7 counter immediately jumped upand said really loud "theyre not free you know, you have to put it through teh till! dont put it in your bag!" (my bag is about A3 size!) i asked her "is your job to sit there and warn every customer that teh magazines arent free? do you telleveryone?" and the cheeky cow said "yes"!!! i went red and again peopel were looking at me so i gave her teh magazine and told her shed made me feel bad and left.

thsi time i didnt let it lie and rang teh customer services and they sent me a £10 card and teh manager had to say sorry. since then theyve been really nice to me, lettign me have quite a few TD!

    What an awful experience!

I have been to the following Boots stores...

Solihull, The Fort Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield - non had any Time Delay products under £5!

I did manage to get some cream for what I thought was £5.50 (according to the sel) but rang up at £6 at the till (must have been on the wrong shelf). I paid £1 for the cream and gave it to my teacher at college.

She could do with looking younger :rotfl:
  • Welsh Dragon - I lost my Nan recently too so I know what you're going through. It was such a beautiful act of kindness taking in the TD products to her care home. Congratulations on your exam results. Really hope 2006 brings you all the luck and happiness you deserve.

  • Thank you lydia dustbin for your comments and everyone else too, it has been a hard time but with working, studying, my 4 gorgeous children and hubby somehow I have managed to get through it. I have bad days still but I have also learnt to take one day at a time.

I am sure 2006 will get better, we have huge plans for a big extension to the our house (to make it 6 bedroomed with a toy room) and I will spending alot of my time, planning, designing and driving my hubby potty with my revised to do lists !!

Back on thread I have been to Boots today, no DR items or TD items under £8.00. Unfortunately, they have a limited EA range too so no chance of getting them either. I have decided to go into Cardiff on Monday see what is left, dodge the TD/DR consultant who is on 24 hour duty and see if I can get a gym ball using the vouchers. Time is ticking on as they expire on Tuesday so this will be my last chance.

newcastle under lyme has nothing in the DR or TD range under £5.

Bet it all appears again after the 31st.

Did get 3 tubs of relaxing bath soak free though as it was reduced to £1 and I had 3 vouchers left. Nothing else in that range left at all now

If that is the EA range you don't 3 vouchers. It will take it off of all you buy in one transaction with one voucher.

As yesterday bought 4 items in the EA in one transaction and it took £1 off of all the items and reduced my bill by £4 :j And got two items for free :j

    Confused the SA no end.
