Nothing in Bangor, N. Wales under £5. The shelf has been restocked with No7 stock, and they look suspiciously like the old Time Delay stock. Maybe this is to confuse newbie MoneySavers into getting the wrong things and having to pay for them.
Hostertlady - anything in Wrexham? Hoping to get some more face wipes and/or hand cream this weekend. If you find my post helpful please press the THANKS button.0 -
GOOD_BOY wrote:tryed to get some of the aroma range that were marked down and when i got to the till the refused me!!
i handed them a clensing td bottle and the coupon and the sa made me feel like a cheepo!!
he said i wasnt spending anything and i shouldnt use the vouchers for things that are under £5 because people have been misuseing the promotion (in front of the whole que!!)
i understand if people are buying a lode of them like someone that got over 18 items on this web as thats greedy but this was my first and only item and i think a lot of the people who know about this are rewining it for the rest of us by being greedy so they stop stocking it until the 1st of feb.
That is a shame they treated you like that. It could be that there has been a lot of abuse in your area that is why they refused and nothing personal to you. I know that does help you or make you feel any better about the situation. On the back of the voucher it says nothing about reduced stock and I know that many on here have managed to use the vouchers on reduced stock. I have not tried that.
I have only done two maybe three max transactions with buying nothing else. As I personally am very shy and it would kill me for someone to talk to me like that in front of other people.
But those have been done in shops which are not my regular ones so I know that they will not remember come the next good offer.
I don't what to say apart from complain about the SA attitutde and there was no need to talk to you like that.
Take care.
Yours

This happened to me and I too could have died with humilliaton and embarrassment by the way I was spoken to (her tone of voice and flippant couldn't care less attitude). I paid quietly for the things I needed to, then went home and complained to Boots headquarters. They apologised profusely and told me that I should have been entitled to the offer as stated on the voucher. They sent me a free gift card fo ten pounds and got the store manager whom had spoken to me in store to apologise, she also invited me togo back and take advantage of the offer as I wished, she didn't show up instore to apologise but told the SA to let me have whatever within the voucher conditions.0 -
well done for sticking up for yourself!
once my local boots had sachets of soltan with 'free sample not for sale' printed on teh back so i picked two up and put them in my bag i had round my wrist, a SA came runnign up to me shouting at teh top of her voice "no! no!" , 9it was about three aisles she came down so everyoine was lookimg ta me) she said really loudly "youve taken something!" and put her hand in my bag!
she pulled out teh scaheets and showed me that they had a barcode onteh back (they did but they also said free sample) i showed her teh 'free smaple' bit and she said "no no no no! not free! stolen!" and took my bag off me! and walked upto a manger at teh front of teh store. i had to follow coz shed robbed my bag and everyone had stopped to look at me and i felt liek a criminal for taking 10ml of free soltan!
i was crying and i left. i didnt report it until i finally plucked up teh courage to go in again teh next week. they had teh halth and beauty magazines at teh door and i picked one up as i walked in. a lady from teh no7 counter immediately jumped upand said really loud "theyre not free you know, you have to put it through teh till! dont put it in your bag!" (my bag is about A3 size!) i asked her "is your job to sit there and warn every customer that teh magazines arent free? do you telleveryone?" and the cheeky cow said "yes"!!! i went red and again peopel were looking at me so i gave her teh magazine and told her shed made me feel bad and left.
thsi time i didnt let it lie and rang teh customer services and they sent me a £10 card and teh manager had to say sorry. since then theyve been really nice to me, lettign me have quite a few TD!:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0 -

freebie_junkie - that's terrible, no wonder you were upset. If that happened to me I'd probably still be in there rowing with the manager!
At least you've indirectly got your own back since though! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Sorry abit off thread I know but I went to Orchard House this morning and gave them the TD/DR items, I had collected since the offer started as a way of thanking them for caring for my Nan. I couldn't look down the corridor to Nan's empty room but at least I remained fairly in control and didn't burst into tears whilst I was there. Since 19/12 when they told us Nan wouldn't see Xmas, to 3 January when she died and then the wait for the funeral it has been a very hard time.
BUT, I'm starting to feel more like myself now, I treated myself to some cosmetics this week, I have had my hair done and I have some nice items to pamper myself with from the TD/DR and EA ranges. I found out today that I have passed my Management course at Cardiff Uni with flying colours - not bad for a part-time working mum of 4 kids. The start of 2006 has been terrible but I'm hoping it will get alot better.
I went to my local Boots today and no DR items and only 2 packs of TD wipes left, one for mum and one for me. The SA was lovely and handed me a load of leaflets from behind the counter. Shame this offer has to end - wonder what the next one will be ?I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL
