How can no one have mentioned Lynx - available for lots of platforms, far faster than any of the other browsers. Available from:

Another vote for kmeleon, which I think got overlooked a bit.
Much like firefox, but stripped down and with simpler UI
I'm not up on all the technicalities, but I think they both have Gecko in their parentage.
Don't forget SeaMonkey which is bundled with PuppyLinux, where the complete OS is 100mb.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

because people arent aware that they can use another browser apart from IE or they arent aware that they can have more than browser on the computer

1) People only know of IE
2) Bespoke applications at work are built around IE and won't work with anything else
3) On a Vista install running UAC, it's actually very safe.
