  • Tradeline well put this belief that banks should manage your finances for you and they know exactly how much you can afford to borrow is crazy. It works on averages and "normal" spending so for example 2 people earning £25,000

    person a smokes 40 a day and spends £100 a week in fuel, parks his car in the city centre for work £10 a day etc spends a lot more than
    person b who doesnt drink, smoke and gets the bus to work everyday for £10 a week.

    How can a bank possibly know which one you are people need to take some responsibility and think can I actually afford to pay this money back!!!
