I just booked a slot, but I'm well cheesed off that I had to put it through without a code! :eek:

Yeah same thing happened to me. I changed the week number to place an order for 23rd but in last hour received a phone call from their customer services telling me it had to be cancelled. I was advised to only place orders for slots I see and then change when they become available. :T0

Well if Customer Services ring me to cancel my slot for 23rd December, I am going to give them such a rocket! They have completely messed up the distribution of Christmas slots - first by not offering loyal and regular customers the chance to get a slot, and secondly by the fact that their system isn't robust enough to prevent people from getting in anyway! So much for the season of goodwill! Well done Tesco! As I said before, every little helps! Grrr.....
Of course, they are a business and they can do what they jolly well like with their Christmas delivery slots (and give first choice to those who can afford bigger weekly shops than me obviously!), but as a consumer, I am also perfectly entitled to take my custom elsewhere and to moan loadly and publicly about the fact that I have been badly treated - so I will!0 -

I feel exactly the same. I normally order my weekly shop today, but I'm waiting to see if I get a phone call. When you see how many people have taken advantage of this though, they'd have to be mad to annoy everyone or just stupid. People will go elsewhere if they can. I live in a large town with the three major supermarkets so I'll just go elsewhere.0 -
Do you have to do your actually shop now when you reserve a date, or can you do it nearer the date?0

Booked a slot for the 23rd earlier this morning, madness isn't it really! I was chuffed that I managed to get a slot as several were gone already...OH doesn't know why I was so happy I got the slot...little things in life!0
