quick grab slots while you can tesco christmas home delivery select tesco customers?

I wonder why my slot hasnt been cancelled then? I havent had any missed calls voice mails or anything and checked my basket and its still there? Am I being too optinistic or do you think theyd of cancelled by now if they were going to?

mine is still ok too.i booked it on wednesday.

I waited up last night and when nothing appeared I used the cheat to book for the 23rd but my confirmation is dated 30th so I'm hoping I might get away with it this time...last time was cancelled.

Many thanks for the advice about booking your Christmas shopping early. I did not know that this was possible, I have only been shopping with Tesco for a few weeks. I managed to book a slot for the 20th Dec, wish I could have got one a little later but at least its booked now. I took the previous advice and put an item in my trolley so I hope they don't change my slot. Happy Booking Everyone!!

I gave up with Tescos and voted with my feet. Had a look on Waitrose and they had some additional slots, I booked a delivery for the 22nd

Cheaper than Ocado who also released slots to 'preferential customers' first but disguised it as a "staggered release". Its saved me the hassle of waiting up till midnight just in case Tesco have any slots left to release in my area.

How do you keep the slot ? it will onl.y reserve for 2 hours for me .Unless i check out i lose it ?

you have to place a few items in your trolley and checkout.You can go back in and amend your order or cancel it right up until day before delivery.No moneys taken until yr orders been picked.

Do a 'dummy shop' (in my case several big packs of nappies and six tins of formula) then checkout. You can go back at your leisure and change it to the things you want and no money is taken until the order is despatched.

Make sure you check this as last year they made the last time you could ammend your order earlier than usual. It should still be at least a couple of days before.

You should get a notice on your order page as to when you can last change the order - usually it's something like 4:31AM of the day of delivery
