I know aren't they adorable!
We hadn't heard of them until the other week when we stumbled across them. I think the maufacturers are French. We are stuggling to decide whether to buy the normal or bigger sized one. They also do a really cute Birthday Tea Party set that we are going to get DD too as she just loves to make us all imaginary cups of tea!
We also found a maufacturer/brand(?) called Haba which do beautiful doll carrycots, prams etc... oh there is just so much sweet stuff to choose from isnt there!!

Kitchens are great play value for little ones.
When my son was 2 1/2 the little tykes country kitchen was all the rage and he wanted it. I spent months trying to track one down across the uk and northern europe. Eventually I found an exdisplay one which I paid full price of £100. He was thrilled and played with it sooo much, It was then handed to his sister 7 years later and now another 7 years later has been passed to my best friend for her daughter. All her little friends love it and I am so pleased that the money was well spent and had been worth every penny.
I would recommend Little Tykes any day and so would the children who have played with itMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Our DD is 22 months & we are also looking at getting her a kitchen for Christmas! Just to throw a different one into the mix: We absolutely love the look of this one as it is wooden. I just think that it will look much nicer in her bedroom/living & seems classier/nicer than the plastic ones (now I just sound crazy don't I!!).

There is also a slightly bigger version at £60 if you wanted to spend more, however, the age guide says 4+ so we are going to ring up tomorrow & find out if this means it would be too tall for her. Especially as she's such a dot.

My sister has this one - she is a childminder with 3 kids of her own. It is a very good toy & is withstanding alot (had about 18 months), plus it looks good!!NEVER ASSUME! :rolleyes:0 -

I like the Tykes one out of the first two, but now i'm looking at the wooden one too & prefer that! lol
No scrap that I prefer the first! The tykes lolllll I like the eggs0 -
ELC sell a wooden one which is designed to go on a table top and is wooden. I find it ideal. When children have access to a toy all the time they tend not to use it. If you can pack it away and just get it out every now and then (eg just at the weekend) then I find they play with them more. It's a bit like the coffee stain on the carpet after a while you stop noticing its there

I'd go for little tykes, i bought second hand the big car and it lasted my DS and his friends a few years and then got passed on, so although it could cost a bit more, you always know that you can sell it later as it is so durable.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0

We bought a fab wooden one from the car boot sale with loads of accessories, playfood, etc., for £5. DS2 loves it. Worth trying out. That's Numberwang!0
