It was in the budget, anyone entitled to the xmas bonus will get £60, I think it'll be sometime in January (nice for the sales!).
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • I was thinking that my son would get it with his DLA but for me to get it with my carer's al. as well will be an enormous help.

My son gets HRC and LRM DLA but we have only ever had one £10 Christmas bonus so I assume it will be just one payment of £60.00
  • My OH gets DLA and I get carers allowance. This is the first year we will be getting both so I have no experience of the Christmas bonus and CA.
It would be wonderful to get 2 bonuses and 2 payments of £60! But I can see this probably won't happen.
I didn't realise before reading this thread that we would be eligible for the £60 so that's really good news!
  • bizzylizzy as your claims are both in your own respective names i would think that you would each recieve the £60 as far as i am aware it,s just one bonus per person not per family.

DLA isn't one of the allowances that will attract the £60 January bonus.

AFAIK it's just State Pension, though Child Benefit and one or two income-related benefits will get (smaller) bonuses.
  • if you normally qualify for the 10quid christmas bonus then yoou qualify for the 60quid jan bonus this year.

i have seen that confirmed and verified by quoting the relevant part somewhere.

and yet you do get a £10 bonus with DLA:confused:
