I've decided to do things slightly differently this month. I keep paying loads off during the month, with every little extra I get going on debts. Which is great, but then when I have an unexpected expense I end up increasing my overdraft, which is silly. SO this month (payday today!) I'm going to put aside the money I want to spend on debts into a savings account and only pay it off at the end of the month in a chunk. It will be less satisfying this way but at least I won't skint myself doing it.
  • Payment to Barclaycard today £129. I am so close to breaking the £30k barrier I can almost taste it! I hope I do it this month.

I got paid £10 for some mystery shopping today, so transferred it straight to my Egg loan.

Overpayments are few and far between for me at the moment, so it felt good to make even a small payment.

Well done Kashton for your excellent news! Almost there!

Evening all made a £175 overpayment to A+L today.
  • A payment of £140 all ready to go out in the morning, this is off my loan and means that i have just ONE more payment to make and i have cleared another debt!! Desperatley want to get my debts down to single figures now, i guess the £150 i am saving on the loan every month will help get the others paid off a bit quicker though. I havent finished payments for febuary yet and i am already wishing march to come around. I think i am going to try and make another big payment at the end of the month when my wages arrive. That should put a dent in another one, Enough rambling for a sunday morning!! Have a good day everyone x

  • Hi all

I didn't get that job I went for the interview for on Monday but I had an interview with a different place on Tuesday because the ferry was cancelled (I was heading back to Surrey to look for jobs) and then I went back to that place on Wednesday for typing tests etc and they want me to go back in for the third part of the interview process - maybe this was meant to be? It will only be a part time job due to the company being busy and it wouldn't be good doing it as a full time role. but then I was contacted by the company that manage my block of flats and they want me to give them a quote for the cleaning. So I'm going to do that and ask them if there is any more blocks of flats that they manage and I could clean those too. It would help bring some extra money in to up the part time wages.

On the down side my hubby finds out next week if he still has a job. I hope he does or we will be up s**t creek without a paddle so to speak.

Anyway got an appointment with the CAB on Thursday so I'm hoping to sort some more stuff out.

Keep up the good work everyone!!!!
