LOL Hypno..you have more confidence than me in me!!!
  • Hi all

This is really weird to write as it was this challenge that got me so motivated last year but...... I am going to have to bow out gracefully. I have been thinking about the way I am tackling my debts for a while and I have decided that it is about time I cut myself some slack.

I am still going to be overpaying by quite a lot but after just over a year I have reached burnout so I have decided that I will stop making myself feel guilty for 'slip ups' by giving myself permission to choose to buy or do things (which is a long way from my old compulsive spending habits)

Anyhow, I didn't want to just vanish from the thread (not that I have been posting much recently - sorry) without explaining and I wish all of you all the best for your challenges (I'll be keeping an eye out to see how you all get on) - Good luck everyone and thank you for being so darn inspirational for the last 13 months!!!

  • Hi All

Not much to post about really. I think I'm actually in minus figures for this challenge as I was adding my debts up again. Thats not good. On the plus side I've listed loads of tat on ebay including some very nice jewellery and tiffany & co stuff so I should make some money from that and my plan for that money is to pay it off my nasty virgin credit card.

Keep up the good work everyone

poorandindenial - sorry you need to bow out, but I am sure we all fully appreciative of your reasons why.

Do keep popping in from time to time!

I just spent the day clearing out my house and photographing it for ebay. I have a ton of stuff to get rid of so hopefully will make some money on that . I have some cashback due from CBK this week so that will go off my lloyds CC.
I really want to do this but I'm also a bit nervous I've set the bar too high for myself. Everyone on here seems to be so motivated and positive I'm hoping it;s gonna rub off on me:o
  • No payments for me yet today, i did manage to get my hubby another 0% card for 16 months yesterday so my tsb debt is going on that. Thats all our cards on 0% now, the first one for about £1500 has roughly 6 months left so its all out to pay that one off first. I think this is the way for me to go, concentrate on one at a time, pay it off and move onto the next one? Does that make sense? At least i would have made minimum payments on all the others too? Hmmm, I did start with a plan.....

£412.84 for me today - another £49.18 chipped off the Nationwide card and bit the bullet and paid £363.66 off Amazon Mastercard - which means that's gone, gone, gone now, woo-hoo! :T

Counting on getting some more Amazon/eBay sales to hit my target this month seeing as OH's expenses haven't been paid () so I'm off to get listing again...

Another 235 paid this morning! I've added it to my total which seems to be snowballing! (sorry about the snow pun considering the awful weather this morning)
