I dont know what's wrong but since Christmas Day I can't stop drinking fluids, I am permanently thirsty and am drinking 3-4 times as much a day as I would normally. Some nights I wake and can drink 3 litres of water from midnight to 7am.
Doesn't make a difference if it is water, squash, pepsi, tea etc. A one litre bottle of Robinsons will last 2 days. As a consequence I am visiting the loo 3-4 times an hour and am busting to go every 20 minutes. I feel fine but as a consequence I am up every 1-2 hours in the night to go to the toilet and then drink more water.
Actually I do have some symptoms, my thighs and and forearms ache as if I've just started lifting weights.
I am very worried.0 -
these are classic symptoms of diabetes.
you really should get along to the doctor and get checked out. Or you can get a diabetes test done for free on the spot (with appointment) at many chemists (e.g. Lloyds Pharmacy) but please make a doctors appointment anyway.

hello jim.
pop along to your gp or walk-in centre tomorrow just to get checked out - don't leave it over the weekend.
take care for now, FSM x0 -
Jim,
I agree with Zhatorna, that really does sound like textbook diabetes. Go and get yourself checked out. If it does turn out to be it, it won't be the best news you have ever had but can be managed.
Hope you are okay,

Yep Jim I thought diabetes when you talked about thirst. Haven't heard about aching limbs with that tho'. I'm off for a test myself tomorrow as my last bloodtest showed marginally raised glucose levels.

Get yourself to the doctors as soon as possible. I have to agree with the rest it sounds like diabetes which can give you the feeling of aching limbs as well as the other symptoms you mentioned. Hopefully you'll feel better soon!0
