Tiger Woods. Brilliant putter, not such a great driver.

What's the difference between a car and a golf ball?
Tiger Woods can drive a golf ball more than 200 metres.

Stevie Wonder was having a meal with Tiger Woods when he challenged Tiger to a round of golf.
"You can't be serious," said Tiger, without sounding rude. "You're blind, how do you know where your ball is?"
"I play with a ball with a bell in it," said Stevie. "I bet you $10 million that I can beat you."
"Okay then," said Tiger, "but we'll do it for charity. When do you want to do it?"
"Any night next week," says Stevie.

I'm going to start playing Tiger Woods PGA tour on the Wii with the steering wheel.

Have just finished "Read My Lips" (Sur mes lèvres )- brilliant film, really enjoyed it and the sort of film I can happily watch all day. I am getting quite good at picking out the swear words before reading the subtitles.
I have had a viewing for the spare room today and I am amazed that I have had just one person showing interest. I am getting ready to give the window sill a lick of paint and was in the garage which is not attached to the building earlier on and it has flooded ruining a load of carpet and underlay that I had "liberated" and which one day I was planning on laying in the bedrooms. So not only do I have no carpets to use but I have to fill the car with soaking carpets at some point and lug them to the tip, and I have to find where the leak has come from- its not the roof or the door but the back wall some where. Bollox.

Lloyds Bank is to cut 410 jobs at a customer contact centre in Brighton, the Unite union said today.

A very nervous day at work yesterday. Fortunately this doesn't effect me in any way (yet) but I know loads of people that have now lost their jobs in this closure, many that I have worked with myself. I can't begin to describe how "jumpy"everyone in the office is at the moment. I have just invested some more money with Lloyds this week, I could be signing my own death warrant !

I think as an investment, it's probably quite sound Jim. Unfortunately with stocks and shares, you need to look at it like a capitalist. Cutting jobs is actually going to be better for the share price.

That's what i don't like about investing in times like this. It feels too much like making a profit from someone's misery. If only they'd stayed clear of HBOS, they wouldn't have any problems at all. A case of the majority paying for the mistakes of a few.
