    Morning all.

Just a "Happy New Year" from me.

Lets make 2009 a good one.

More phonecalls from HSBC... A&L have understood as have AA.

    Just HSBC being T**ts.

One a good note, As ive not paid any loans/Cards for 1 month, Jan will be the second month. i have enough cash to pay off 1 of the creditors in full. and another 1 nearly full.

Is this a good idea to do so soon or should i wait until the DMP has started for a few months?

    Anyone?

    Hi mbs,

I think it's pretty much a personal choice whether to pay one or two smaller creditors off before the DMP starts. I think if you decided to go bankrupt the OR might ask why some creditors were given preferential treatment but it shouldn't matter for a DMP.

If you were thinking of making f&f offers to them in a few months, it probably depends whether the amount of money you might save is worth it compared to the feeling of getting rid right now, iykwim?

If it makes you feel better to reduce the number of creditors, go for it. It's a new year!:D

Rang up CCCS, my DMP will more than likely start in Feb.

If i get any more hassle from HSBC, ill give them a token £5.

All my other creditors seem happy with the situation so far.

Decided to save up the cash and wait until a few months have passed being on a DMP and see how things are fairing...

    Thanks for your input/advice

    Xmas Saver!
Congratulations on the safe arrival of Coby, hope mum and baby doing ok.

Glad u got the dmp sorted out ok, I dont know if you are still getting hassle from HSBC, but on here somewhere is a template letter that you send, with the correct terms etc, so the companies concerned can not ring you.

    Good start for 2009 xx
