  • I've seen some that had red lips sweets in and said "a kiss for you" and then another had a penny in and said "so you'll never be penniless".

Not sure what I'm having yet.. I'm from Wigan so think I may have Uncle Joes mint balls :)

But I like the none food ones that a more personal, like the little seed sticks. Or there is a website that does personalised paper fans fanfairuk.co.uk. There is also a site that makes personalised scratchcards for 25p each - scratchees.co.uk

    Hope this helps x

I was all for the idea of wedding favours until the past year when I attended 4 weddings and was shocked about how many just get left on the tables at the end of the night. I was surprised because I always take mine home with me, plus place names etc (I'm a loser!) as souveniers!

Well after research and chatting to many friends about this matter I decided not to have any, then this morning I woke up at 5am and started thinking about it again.

My wedding colours are chocolate with ivory & gold and I thought as something different I will name the tables after different chocolates rather than number them - malteasers, minstrels, revels etc - then as favours I will fill a little organza bag (or glass from bar maybe - even cheaper!) with whatever chocolate that table is named! Quite proud of myself as I'm not really the bright ideas type but thought it was a nice idea for something a little different!

Does this sound like a good idea or naff????
:D Finally decided to start growing up when it comes to money!:j
  • Sounds like a good idea.. I think it's mainly the sugared almonds that get left as hardly anyone likes them!
    :o

  • My sister gave favours to the family instead of the individuals. They were lovely mirrored glass trinket boxes. But they were placed next to the females place name. So I got one for me, OH and ds, Her sister in law got one for her family and so on. So for a 140+ guests she only had to have 70+ favours. She did have alcohol minitures on the tables so the men would get something.
