cheap wedding favours

anyone got any good ideas ive found boxes that work out at 20p each but df wants something different put in them but i have no idea and niether does he so need some ideas. but they must be cheap.

I recently did the planning and invites etc for my friend's wedding.

She wasn't going to have favours, but as a surprise, I did some little organza bags and filled them with silver Tibetan lovecharms which I got from Ebay. Something different and they could keep them and wear them on a chain if they wanted.

We're having lindt lindor chocolates, we need about 60 so I think we need 4 boxes - they seems to be pretty easy to get 2 boxes for £6 (there's about 18 in a box) but I'm gonna keep an eye out for a better deal than that! They are really nice chocolates!

Also we are making our own favour boxes which has been pretty easy sat in front of the tv on a night! We've spent about £2 on patterned card to make 60 boxes and they look great.

infact scrap the 20p i just found some for 10p. dont want sugared almonds as noone ever likes them.

buy some value bags of mint imperials and put 5 in each box on top of some srunch up crepe paper.

or get some nice gold or even silver tin foil and wrap individual rolo's into each one

we got free from estee lauder some mini bottles of perfumes like the ones that come in gift sets for the ladies we just wrote to them. for the men we got mini bottles of whisky free from a whisky company. we wrote loads of letters if you dont ask you dont get.

we also did mint imperials in a box

and green and blacks maya gold choc bar (45g ones) with a mini ribbon round and name label as place names.

I hope you dont mind me asking but what whiskey company sent you the samples, and what did you say in your letter? It would be fantastic to get some free samples! Thank you!

You can get love hearts with a personalised message on the front (I know as I was looking for some as part of OH's XMas present)

Also friends of ours put a special note on everyones plate saying they were not doing favours but had donated to their chosen charity, then went on to talk about the South African (he is from SA) charity for children who have lost their parents to aids.
