  • i think my orange contract is up sometime this month, will have to look into that. £100 for as trade in sounds a bit generous!

thanks for being with me on the lottery, who knows, i have as much chance as anyone else.
  • definitely going to write to the creditors and see if i can get interest frozen. :)
  • The lottery works on that type of thinking

For a year, save the money and then buy premium bonds

They are a lottery but with the only cost of entering being interest foregone

The lottery is a voluntary tax, why volunteer to pay it?
  • i have £250 if premium bonds that i have had for about 4 years. never won anything on them but dont want to cash them in just in case..

I believe very strongly in the power of positive thinking. I win more than I spend on the lottery (only small amounts) and I always get a parking space - even at Christmas - because I know I will.

i will win the lottery, i will win the lottery, i will win the lottery.
  • wonder if anyone with £250 of premium bonds has ever won anything on them. i have only heard of the people with loads of them winning.

I would cash in the premium bonds and put the money towards the debt with the highest interest..the premium bonds pay out at a calculated low rate of interest, and you are paying a much higher interest on your debts...if you are serious about paying off your debt and being debt free then you must think positively about it .....think of all the things that you CAN do to pay off the debt rather than thinking of what you can't do without. I would cash in the PB's, cancel the washing machine insurance, change to PAYG phone (that way you will not use it as much) stop doing the lottery, take packed lunches and cook in bulk at home.

  • I don't get interest on them :(

I really don't want to get rid of them. Surely I'll win something sooner or later? - and they aren't costing me anything.

I am very serious about clearing my debt.

  • I think I'm going to take a look at:

    http://www.cccs.co.uk

When I get home, or will this just make my debt last longer??

anyone used one of these places?
