Getting Oh So Fed up with it all :(

MrsPitcher2b wrote: »Hey everyone
This may be a bit of a downer post so i'm sorry if i dishearten/upset/annoy anyone.
I havent been on here long and already i am getting fed up with debt clearing
I think its probably because i have gotten to the end of the month now, its the last few days before payday so i havent really done anything to give me a boost, eg helping towards clearing my debts and making a payment for a while, or buying anything... Its been months since i bought new clothes and i need my roots done but i wont go because of the money and i just look like a tramp
I think i am just so fed up of waiting. I am not in HUGE debt, compared to some people i know, but then it still worried me hence why i am dealing with it now before it does get to that stage. It was just so easy and quick to spend it, but it takes so long to clear
Now i know why my dad hates credit!! Once i am debt free, i shall never get credit again!!
Also i am getting a bit annoyed because i am expecting a refund since thursday from a company which finally replied after i took them to court, apparently A cheque was sent recorded delivery - but i still havent received it. I was hoping to use this to clear my first credit card by the end of the month, but doesnt seem to be going that way
I just feel like going out and splashing all my cash on me.. Although i know i wont because even looking at things to buy i get guilty thinking about it (which is a good thing i suppose so i cant spend any more!)
I just want to be debt free and start saving.... At least then the amount of money i shall hopefully see when i sign into my bank will keep me boosted
Does anyone just get fed up with it? I feel like im whinging because i have only really started properly for a month and some of you have been doing it for a while.. So sorry if i offend.
Oh yes, I'm fed up with it already! I got £7K redundancy money for leaving because I was being bullied and it all went on my debts. In the meantime I have a car that has broken down twice and I'm frightened to take it for a service in case it costs £500.
It is depressing, I intend to never get into debt ever again (apart from my lovely 102% mortgage).
I got a haircut 2 weeks ago because I felt lousy. I couldn't afford it and it'll just have to do me a while.0 -

Sorry to hear you were bullied PinkTwirl. I was bullied in work a long time ago and it was very subtle. It was horrible at the time. I really feel for you.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I was going to suggest buying a hair dye from costcutters or somewhere similar and have a friend do it but was beaten to it - great minds and all that
The idea of going down to the local college is a good idea. Also many hairdressers advertise in the shop window for models for the trainees so see if you can spot one of those next time you go down to the bank to pay off another bit of debt
Two birds with one stone. If there arent any advertisements, pop in and ask. The worst they can say is they dont needs any models atm.
Stay focussed. Its like waiting for the guy to text you after you've been out on a date, you're constantly clock watching and checking your phone every two mins (though it would beep if you had a message, you still check). If you text the guy first and get no reply think how rubbish it feels. Now apply this to shopping with £ you cant afford to spend
What about paying off a debt a week? This way you can spread the costs and the satisfaction will last the whole month. But this would take will power0 -

Hey thanks. I've been bullied so often over the years it's a bit ridiculous. Still, now I've left my spots have gone and the people that I now work with are better. Just still a bit scared.
Thanks for the message

Yeah, it does knock your confidence but remember, it's them that has the problem, not you. They are most likely very unhappy with their lives and taking it out on you. With mine, she was 10 years older and I was living the life she wasn't (not my fault though). When I got a new job she laughed and said 'Your working in that area, you'll be stabbed there'. I think she was a serious nutter!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi ixwood,
Its not that ive run out of money, ive got money for food petrol etc, its because im not paying off any debt, as i paid it all off towards the beginning of the month. So i dont get excited checking my credit card statement anymore because i know i havent paid anything extra!!
Thank you all for your replies, i would get a hair dye from boots but they always turn my hair orange, the hairdresser said its because i need the strongest possible to make my hair blonde and they dont sell it strong enough - or some rubbish like that.
Maybe i shall have a look into a college, my hair usually costs me £120!!! (hence why i hardly get it done lol) I think most of the colleges for me though are up london and i hate travelling on the trains - maybe i shall look further like kent so i can drive.. Im sure my cousins friend is a hairdresser ...
Clearmydebts - we have an xmas outfit too!!! Maybe i should start looking for that lol
I think it does help to have something new/something to look forward to.
PinkTwirl - I think i am being bullied in a subtle way at work. I know it sounds silly how can you not know, but its not blatent 'youre this youre that' just one lady i work with is constantly making me feel stupid and makes pretty horrible comments, i even went off sick yesterday because i didnt want to face it, and i think the thought of coming back last night was what was getting to me too.
LittleMissRolo - I have been thinking about maybe doing a payment a day or something next month, so that i do keep getting that buzz ecvery day!! I think once one of my cards/debts have gone i will be a bit happier - and if everything goes ok this month i plan on getting rid of 3 debts
which should only leave two (big ones but still only two)
At least its pay day tomorrow so i can start paying off those debts.

Hi MrsP2be,
Get looking for that training college and the Xmas outfit. You will feel a 100 times better.
Re: the bullying. It might be a good idea to say it to your boss. They might decide to have a general chat about colleagues respecting each other etc etc, which may nip it in the bud. I reckon it sounds like she is bullying you. They are so subtle sometimes that it is hard to know and you start to feel like it is your fault. I am quite a strong character so when I told my family what was happening they couldn't believe that I was being targetted. But it doesn't matter, bullies prey on everyone. Don't let this lady wear you down. If you are dreading going into work this needs to be stopped.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I think you'll find there are more hairdressing colleges around than you'd know. Our local further education does hair and beauty and they do people for peanuts! Try adult educatvion places too!!If you like, tell me roughly where you are and I'll look for you!! SRM xDebt-free...and staying that way...0

Hi Mrspitcher2b
first of all , we all have days / weeks when it just gets so tedious, I just felt like i wasnt getting anywhere for ages. I've now changed how i pay my debts so that each monday I do a bank transfer rather than waiting until the due date each month. I can see the debt going down every week which boosts my morale & I believe that I'm also saving a bit of interest too by doing it like that as dear old barclaycard recently reminded me that they charge me interest on a daily rate - awwww bless em
Each time I get fed up I tell myself that this is a very long and boring lesson in not using credit cards sensibly & that my lesson will be learned when I've paid them off  .
In the meantime I find one of these usually helps : :grouphug:
