Getting Oh So Fed up with it all :(

Hey everyone
This may be a bit of a downer post so i'm sorry if i dishearten/upset/annoy anyone.
I havent been on here long and already i am getting fed up with debt clearing
I think its probably because i have gotten to the end of the month now, its the last few days before payday so i havent really done anything to give me a boost, eg helping towards clearing my debts and making a payment for a while, or buying anything... Its been months since i bought new clothes and i need my roots done but i wont go because of the money and i just look like a tramp
I think i am just so fed up of waiting. I am not in HUGE debt, compared to some people i know, but then it still worried me hence why i am dealing with it now before it does get to that stage. It was just so easy and quick to spend it, but it takes so long to clear
Now i know why my dad hates credit!! Once i am debt free, i shall never get credit again!!
Also i am getting a bit annoyed because i am expecting a refund since thursday from a company which finally replied after i took them to court, apparently A cheque was sent recorded delivery - but i still havent received it. I was hoping to use this to clear my first credit card by the end of the month, but doesnt seem to be going that way
I just feel like going out and splashing all my cash on me.. Although i know i wont because even looking at things to buy i get guilty thinking about it (which is a good thing i suppose so i cant spend any more!)
I just want to be debt free and start saving.... At least then the amount of money i shall hopefully see when i sign into my bank will keep me boosted
Does anyone just get fed up with it? I feel like im whinging because i have only really started properly for a month and some of you have been doing it for a while.. So sorry if i offend.

Awww big (((hugs))) you have what is known at pre payday blues.
I get like this every single month on about week 3. The first couple of weeks after payday are brill, you pay off things, your debt comes down and all is good.
Then you get to week three and there is nothing left and you struggle to just get by.
Unfortunately I don't know an answer to this and I have kind of accepted that this circle will continue for some time for now.
I find trying to do some smaller debt busting stuff in the last week helps such as dooyoo or Ebay or anything that brings a few pennies in however small they might be.
This forum is a godsend too, there is so much information and chat on here it can keep you busy.
Well done for not going out and spending as that would just prolong this feeling. Just remember your debt is going down not up :TProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Thanks Doodledo
I do think thats the problem, i tend to get this every 3rd week - even before I started paying off debts!!
To be honest i have actually got some money left, which has never happened in about 2 years (maybe even 3) i have got £90 in my old account which i transfered from ebay sales, but i cant find the card for it - so i could really go and get this out if i am that fed up with it all and put it on the credit card, so i think i might do that tomorrow.
I have been ill so been stuck indoors too for the weekend etc so i am just VERY bored
i may have to search this site n forum to help keep me amused

Hi Mrs P, what about entering some of the comps listed on the comps board further down....it will keep you out of mischief and you might win something.

hello and big hugs to you!!
in respect to your hair, can you not visit your local college to get it done?? can be very cheap although can take a little longer as they get everything checked by the lecturers (?) all the time.
once you start to see your efforts paying off and your debts start to reduce then your mood should start to lift.

I can remember those feelings like they were yesterday.
I know it's no help but just ride it out. Try and do things like a few ebay sales towards the end of the month to stay 'active' kind of thing.
It's a bummer but you're not alone feeling like it.

I'm with the others you do get to a point every month where it does get you down but you need to focus on positive small things you can do to help you feel better.
Good tip about the local hairdressing colleges. i've booked a full head colour and cut today and total cost is £11!!! Worth trying.
Keep going and focus on those small positive steps.Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
Oh dear! I know how you feel. I did the wrong thing and spent money :-( and now I feel worse for it. Hope you feel better.0

Do you have a budget? It would be a big help. The end of the month shouldn't be any different to the rest if budgeted.0

Hiya,
I feel the exact same every month except my slump is usually in week 2, after the highs of paying off debt in week 1. Why not book an appointment to get your hair done for Xmas. I always feel better when I know I am getting it done and when it is done it always gives me a lift (except I have to restrain myself from going shopping afterwards).
My reward to myself and OH for all the debt-busting we have been doing since August was to put a little aside for some Xmas clothes as well. When I was younger we would always have a Xmas outfit so I have always continued on the tradtion, even though I don't go anywhere on Xmas day.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I got disheartened a few weeks ago about my hair as my grey was coming through and the hairdressers usually costs me about £50.00. My mother in law suggested that if I bought a colour from Boots, she would do it for me. I bought a garnier nutrisse (sp?) from Boots for a fiver and she put it all on for me - it looks absolutely great - saved myself £45.00!!! :jOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
