How do i complain about inedible meat?

i bought a large quantity of chicken online and it turns out it is too tough to even cut with a knife, let alone chew.
Basically they have sold me birds past their eating age - i know bc of past experience from Gran's farm - but i can't prove it.

Can anyone suggest how to proceed?

No, I hadn't bought from there before. I mean that I know what an 'old boiler' is like from past experience - once you've had it you know straight away.

No, even cooked overnight in the slow cooker it's too tough to chew

I know what it's like too, npsmama, but to respect Mrs Uganda's dignity I shall name no names.

The only way you can proceed is to tell the firm you bought it off and see what they say. Ask yourself a couple of questions first, like how long did it take for the birds to be delivered? If it was longer than you expected, perhaps the problem lay with the people doing the delivery.

Personally, and I realise this doesn't help you in this particular situation, I wouldn't buy anything perishable online. I know many people do, but for me the convenience is outweighed by the potential of wastage - online deliveries can be prompt and excellent, but so many things can go wrong for so many reasons and it is difficult for online sellers to give cast-iron guarantees.

But hopefully this mob will be reasonable and replace the birds, but they won't if you don't ask them!

Was it advertised as roasting chicken? Or boiling chicken? Or just chicken, which lets them get away with sending out chicken for no specified cooking method.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

    It was sold as 'chicken'.
I've emailed and phoned and was told someone would get back to me - still no reply though.
