    CD Wow do seem to take ages these days and so do BangCd, I ordered a cd 3 weeks ago and its still not arrived, e.mailed them and they told me dispatch was imminent, both these companies are so slow these days.

    I'm having problems with CD Wow too. I ordered 2 chart CDs when they had an offer on about six weeks ago. They were dispatched quickly but neither turned up. The e-mail said to contact them after 7 days, so I did, but they told me to wait a further 21 days before contacting them again. I did, and it turns out they sent them to my old address (which had been changed). So they said nothing could be done. I argued that they hadn't turned up there either (we still collect post) and I had paid insurance, yet had no CDs and was left out of pocket. So they agreed to re-send them. One has arrived, from flipping Japan, and I'm still waiting on the other, which I've since seen in Tesco for the same price. Will not use them again.
    Property buying/selling timeline - currently into week 21
    04/12/20: Both properties listed for sale
    11/01/21: Offers accepted on both sales & on our joint purchase
    25/01/21: Identity checks completed, solicitors instructed
    27/01/21: Purchase survey & valuation complete, mortgage offer received 
    05/02/21: Reduction agreed on partner's sale (under-valuation) & on purchase. Mortgage offer amended
    08/02/21: Buyers pack returned to solicitor - sellers packs already returned
    26/02/21: Partner's sale contract signed
    10/03/21: Purchase searches all back
    16/03/21: My sale contract signed
    28/03/21: Purchase enquiries satisfied, Title Report & contracts issued, contracts signed & returned
    11/05/21: Still waiting on final enquiry in the adjoining chain to be resolved. Consent to break the chain granted, instruction to move to exchange given.
    17/05/21: All parties agreed to June 3rd for completion
    27/05/21: Exchanged on my sale only
    28/05/21: ALL EXCHANGED!
    03/06/21: Completion

    Does anone have a geographical phone number for cd wow? (not on saynoto0870) as I want to cancel my order and get a refund back into my account, will they refund my account as I dont want it to be put back onto my account as credit?

    There is no point hanging around waiting for them to deliver when stuff is in stock on play for immediate dispatch

    Theres no contact phone number for cdwow though is there? unless theres an 0870 one which defeats the object of trying to save money if youve got to ring an expensive phone line to chase it up or cancel. Email will prob take a long time to get answered but as they are christmas presents I don't want to get them after christmas.

    I have e-mailed them in the past & received reply within 24 hrs. Quote your order number and ask for refund.

    I used to use cd-wow a lot, but since the take over they are rather hit and miss.
    I still use them occasionally as, when asked, refunds have been processed within 24 Hrs, (appearing on my cc within three/four days).

    If I have paid a balance with a cc, then that balance has been refunded in full to my cc. Any vouchers have been re-issued, with >three weeks deadline.
    I have not received a "credit" to my cd-wow account.
    Not sure of a geo-number, but logging into your account and selecting contact us should open a window with a query panel.

    If you have several orders with them, you MAY need to repeat this procedure for each order separately.

    Thanx I had sent the contact form before reading this, I did not write the order number down as I thought they would know with my email address because I contacted them within my account. All my orders are showing as pending dispatch so I hoped they would realise I meant all of them. Guess I'll wait till tomorrow and mail them again with order numbers if necessary.

    I received a reply back from them and they said all of the cds are out of stock due to delay from suppliers. These are all chart cds and are in stock everywhere but cdwow. They gave in stock dates of Monday for some but others they said in stock dates were not yet confirmed, so who knows...

    I have replied to the email saying under the circumstances I would like to cancel all orders and please could they refund my card and confirm the refund.

    I am not waiting and not knowing when they are even in stock then waiting again for dispatch when they are in stock everywhere else. With what seems to be widespread negative experience and views of cdwow I really am not prepared to just sit around waiting and wondering. I'm not going to waste my time on them again I'll stick with play.com or buy in store

  • I asked earlier in the thread whether they had changed ownership since they received that enormous fine. Although wikipedia states who the previous owner was, it doesn't state who the new owner is. That link does.

    I was just wondering why a site that used to be so awesome had gone downhill so much, and it might possibly be due to the new ownership. However, if Bang have got much worse as well, maybe it isn't simply down to the new owners! :rotfl:
