    what does a soft search check against a hard search?

    Yeah that happens when I place higher orders - never used up to the credit limit. Mind you this is one account we would'nt want to close!

    Hard - full credit search visable to all
    Soft - shows only to you - unrecordered

    so it does the same thing but only the full is visable.
