I'm being stupid aren't I?
Not at all - it's so important to have time to yourself. I love my family to bits, but don't give up Thursday's choir rehearsal for anythingIt's really important to have time to yourself, especially when they're little and can feel like limpets
I've got loads done today, so thank you all :A :T I might even clean some windows tomorrow :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Gryfon You're not being stupid honey... you're feeling disappointed and sad, that's completely understandable. Put that together with how rubbish you've been feeling for the past couple of weeks, you're bound to feel down.
We all need time away just being 'me' not mum/wife/partner/chief cook and bottle washer!
I know it's not the same... but.... could you get everyone off to bed, perhaps a little early.... and do something that you really enjoy? (we introduced "chill out time" in our house, so DD1 has to go up to her room when the other 2 go to bed, but she doesn't have the indignity of an early night.... She does have to stay in her room and read/ paint her nails, moisturise her skin etc) It does mean that we get a bit more calm time, before we're too exhausted to enjoy it.
(((hugs))) though, disappointment is a horrible emotion!MMSSB Club Founder Member

I missed Wednesday - can't change my sheets again - still have sheets to take to the launderette from last week's change. Did change son's bedding on Tuesday though.
On Wednesday I did manage to make homemade soup for tea with garlic bread, followed by yogourt - so felt like I was doing a bit of home-making for me and my son! We don't get to eat together much these days.
Thursday - Bathroom, Study and loo
Clean loo, bath/shower, basins etc - this one is my priority!!!Baby steps - I am lucky it is only me and my adult son - I don't have a partner, small children, pets, an upstairs, a study, a dining room, a garden, a guest bedroom/spare room - so I should be able to cope!
Debt free by 22 January 2009 - thanks to an unexpected inheritance - take heart - it DOES HAPPEN!0 -
Dusty -:hello: Photo of new kitten please! I am not allowed any more so will just have to drool over yours and Pigpen's. DS2 did ask if we could have a ginger one for Christmas.
Justamum - have you thought about Games Workshop stuff for your DS? War related but at least not attached to flickery screens.
Gryfon- was it you who posted about having a guilty feeling that you should be doing something else all the time? Snap, I know exactly what you mean at the moment.
Penelope Penguin - good to see you back.
I am reading but mostly not posting as I am having a busy week yet again. Considering the ground floor was spotless on Monday it is now a horrid mess.
Tonight I must empty/fill DW, S&S kitchen, wash uniforms, get stuff ready for school in the morning, and resist reading the new to me Margery Allingham that came today unknown to DH. Tomorrow I am supposedly off so should eb able to catch up a bit.

Thanks. Just feel so silly at being this upset about it! I was fine until I spoke to someone who said that they'd miss me being there and it's a shame because it's like a small end of year party, so now I'm feeling that I'm really missing out!
hex...yep probably! I always think that I should have done or should be doing something else.Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Not great shots but don't want to keep you waiting too long - he is called Woody (after Tiger Woods of course!) he is sound asleep on DS2's lap who has been so excited all day and is so happy - he doesn't want his tea cause he doesn't want to wake the kittenThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Need to do accounts on my spreadsheet (I need to find Quattro Pro For Dummies as no sheet ever prints out the same as any other one, despite me setting them up identically
)
Hope this helps JAM - http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Content/1152796556960SarahShattered wrote: »You know me ... never like to go on (and on, and on, and on, ) about something!! :rotfl:
Sarah, whats this about a budget?????????I'd get him loads of war history books and a few non-war games!.. Dr Who stuff goes down well here too
Can't believe you mentioned books Pigpen - you NEVER get books! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: but that is a great idea - what about videos too (sorry, age thing, I meant DVD's) - give him a better understanding of what he is actually playing, and I agree - Dr who or any other escapism stuff to play tooSarahShattered wrote: »As regards your busy day.... you'd only be bored if you didn't have it all to do!!! :rotfl: *ducks to avoid missile from Gryfon* :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Awww, he's lovely... lots of huggles...To those of you with unwanted visitors - hugs - my new desk is actually in a temporary office at the moment because the office I should be in is closed as it has a rat! The rat man has been and put bait down and two lots have been taken. They think the rat's gone now but no-one can use that office until it's been deep cleaned. Seems the others in my current office have decided they want to stay there so, once the real office has been deep cleaned, it'll be all mine! I am already planning a new layout in my head. It will be known as the Roland Suite....
Glad they're giving it a deep clean for you first Soappie, I had a friend who got weils disease and nearly died - better to be safe than sorry...
Glad you're on the mend tho - enjoy that G&T...I need someone to tell me not to be so stupid. I'm being stupid aren't I?
Not going to tell you that as you're not being stupid, just sensitive... We all look forward to stuff and getting away from everything is an important thing to do, so it is a big let down when it doesn't happen - If you can, try to treat yourself to something else to make up for it - get the kids to bed and have a lovely soak in the tub with candles and a book or something - anything so that you still get some 'me' time... you don't only deserve it, you need it - we all do!
