    Finally!

I have posted my parcel (and remembered to ask for a certificate - not automatically generated as it was a Freepost) AND (ta daah!) remembered to post the book. A job hanging around for aaaaages...

Did you get any yet Toots?

And I bought some 2nd class christmassy stamps:D

And I have replaced the blown spot in the kitchen:D

Am preparing myself for kids who will no doubt moan;) - they have both to make their beds but they can't cos all the carp (discarded clothes mainly) that was on their floors is on their beds...they will learn:rolleyes: I can't vacuum messy floors now can I?

Wanna just curl up in a ball and hibernate.

Hugs hon, go do just that with pumpkin and have lots of cuddles - sometimes you just have to give in to the inevitable and life in general - have a rest and hopefully you will feel better soon.

I know you've tried the humane traps for the mice, but with little pumpkin running around where they go, I would go for the normal traps or even poison under kitchen units, etc where little hands can't get to (take the kick boards off and put them under there). That's what we had to do at my mums in the end as she got loads up in her loft where next door neighbours had an aviary... Don't like to be cruel and hate killing anything (even put spiders out instead of killing them and I hate them) but when it comes to kids, can't be too safe...

This took ages and my newly installed anti virus is causing no end of problems. This week I have lost the little kitty who walks about all over my word docs... I did bring a spare disc home for the school stuff I am permitted to have a copy of in case that went awol...no idea how I am going to get the kitty back.

It depends on what version of 'office' you have to how you get your kitty back (this isn't the good mouser is it? :rotfl: ) I think you click on the help tab and then change character, but it should be in there somewhere - I've got 2007 and can't remember how to get it now - do you have the paperclip come up instead now? If you do, right click on him and change it that way...

    11 PEOPLE ... ON A ROPE
Eleven people were hanging on a rope,
    under a helicopter.
    10 men and 1 woman.
The rope was not strong enough to carry them all,
so they decided that one had to leave,
because otherwise they were all going to fall.
They weren't able to choose that person,
until the woman gave a very touching speech.
She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope,
    because, as a woman,
she was used to giving up everything
for her husband and kids or for men in general,
and was used to always making sacrifices
    with little in return.
As soon as she finished her speech,
    all the men started clapping . . . . . . .

All kiddies lifted and DS2's glasses got. Hubby up cutting a tree that fell with all the wind so i'll be lifting them tomorrow.

DD's crimbo present arrived when i was away so it's now hid, eventho they all tryed to follow me to see what it was.:rotfl:

Think i might start trying to get the christmas stuff down and see what we've got, i know the decorations are pretty much done (they where my mums before me) but money's tight so i might see if i can get the kiddies to make stuff for the tree.

Plan tonight is get DD and DS1 to there clubs and do the food shop when there away. Need to wash DS2's uniform for tomorrow as he seems loads better now.
Put aload of DVD's on freecycle, don't think any money can be made from them at least not without alot of bother.

Right better go and find this tree.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

And yet more to the saga of the kitchen..it 'aint finished yet!!

Did I tell you that we ended up with two kitchens in the end.

Everything was going swimmingly 'till it was time for delivery of said kitchen, it never turned up. So various phone calls ensued and in the meantime I had to put my stepbrother, he was fitting it for us, off for a couple more days. It turned out that Nightfreight had somehow lost the kitchen enroute to us..hmmm!! Anyway we got a replacement kitchen from the company sent out to us and this arrived eventually but it also turned up with the original kitchen. So we then ended up with two £1000 kitchens for the price of one. I mean I've heard of two for one, and buy one and get one free but never on kitchens..lol.

Everything then went along great when my stepbrother fitted the kitchen but we then hit a problem!! The units ended up sitting over the power points in the kitchen and blocking them. So my stepbrother had to lower the power points.. Then it turned out I had ordered faschias for an applicance instead of the plinths, so off I toddled to the kitchen company and got these replaced. Meanwhile the sink also turned out to be the wrong one so I changed that to one I wanted originally, that was too big so I had to change it yet again!! By this point I was ready to give up and emigrate somewhere.

We then had to get some more tiles as we didn't have enough, and they turned out to be slightly different to our original ones. Oh well what the heck thankfully they weren't that much different.

Then finally the kitchen was finished and I thought that was it - oh how I was wrong!!

The following evening we had a flooded kitchen, eeep!! It turned out to be the feeder pipe from our gas pump that pumped the water to our boilers, under the sink. I then placed an emergency call to our gas company but they couldn't get to us until the following morning. We had to get up every 2 hours, in the evening, to empty the bowl as it kept filling up rather quickly. Anyway the gas man came out the following morning and sorted it out - it was a nut that needed tightening..aaah!!

Thought that was it, but nope. Today I found a small leak in the pipe connecting the sink to the new pipework - I trod in a bit of water when I went in the kitchen. Me being me immediately thought the leak was back or the washing machine was leaking but I did find it eventually. So I had to call my step brother to come and fix it. Thankfully he is coming tomorrow because I then got into a panic as my new fridge freezer had been delivered and it didn't fit in the whole we had left..aaah!!! I checked it several times online, then measure the hole carefully and everything was fine but we hadn't allowed for the door frame or enough swing for it to open properly..aaaaaaaaaaahbanghead.gif

So now tomorrow morning I have my step brother turning up at 8am to repair the leak and hopefully cut a bit of the worktop away so the fridge can fit nicely. Luckily we had an overlap of worktop on this side, the only trouble is the open end cupboard on the wall, this is going to take a bit of chopping back on the shelves. Oh well c'est le vie as they say.

Still it will be all nice and lovely when it is all finished but boy has it been a stressfull two weeks.

And there you have the saga of my kitchen.

I am still having my living room decorated after it was started in March of this year. I am NOT having anymore work done believe me.

Oh and hello to everyone, and hugs to those that want/need them. Hugs to all the newbies that have joined us, sorry I didn't welcome you before things have been a bit hectic as you can see..lol. My life isn't normally like this I promise, just ask the girls here. I lead a really boring life normally.. :D
