Jjef - i'll be thinking of that story next week and giggling away to myself. Then again, better not, the nurse might think i'm enjoying it!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Very good and productive today. Christmas shopping done and i've started wrapping everything up. I know I should just leave it all to my DH but he'll have loads on his plate anyway and knowing him he'll wrap up my son's stuff for my daughter, my dad's stuff for my sister etc. Could be fun!
Two weeks today and hopefully it will be all over! xx0 -
Thanks peeps! I've just found another cut as it's started hurting, I don't think I've got any glass inside. I think it just stings like a paper cut usually does.
I seem to have been really busy but when I look around it looks like I've done nothing! Bit gutted today as I wanted to go to photography club tonight but can't as Mr G is working and my parents who would babysit are awaySo for the rest of the day I have child to pick up at 2.30pm from his school, raffle tickets for photography to get down to a friend's work and hopefully he can take them tonight, children come home at about 3.20pm and I have my brother to fetch at 4pm and then child is getting picked up at 4.30pm! Also small child is now napping so I'm wondering how I'm going to fit everything in
It's one of those days when I'll be glad that everyone is in bed! I have soup for the children's tea as thankfully that's one thing I make that they like. No bread though so I suppose I should put some in to cook now.
Argh!!! I hate busy days! Do you think I could ask for an extra 5 hours a day for Christmas?Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Ok here's my list:
2.20pm - go to fetch boy
2.35pm - get home and start making weetabix cake (children loved it!)
2.50pm - Mr G goes to work
3.20pm - children home
3.40pm - go to fetch brother
4.30pm - hopefully boy will be collected
4.40pm - rush off to drop off raffle tickets
5pm - get home and collapse in a stressed heap!
Now hopefully I have nothing else to do!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

We have had the house plastered and after weeks of chaos they have finally finished, however i am now left with plaster dust everywhere.
I have mopped my wooden floor about four times now and it still looks dusty any tips or products anyone can recommend?I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Gryfon Glad the children liked the weetabix brownies... mine love it
and yet turn their little noses up at my super duper flapjacks with chocolate and sunflower seeds... no accounting for taste eh???
As regards your busy day.... you'd only be bored if you didn't have it all to do!!! :rotfl: *ducks to avoid missile from Gryfon* :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:MMSSB Club Founder Member

When I had mice at work , I am afraid to say, I went to the nearest DIY shop and got the strongest mice killer stuff they sell, and that did the job, before I did that, I did bring the cats into work, cat1 promptly went to sleep in the MD's chair.!!
Cat2 sat at the 1st floor window looking out, and got phone calls from the girls in the block opposite wanting to know if they could come round and stroke her!!
Needless to say neither has been brought back here! but they do keep the mice away at home.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Sarah...I stick my tounge out at you! I would love to be bored! If I was bored I could then get on with organising and backing up all my digital photos, I could then also get on with more jewellery making...I would even contemplate doing some DIY! At the moment though I seem to spend every waking moment either trying to do the housework, thinking about the housework, running around after the children or on here trying to snatch a few minutes here and there! All the things I want to do I really need to sit down for longer than 15 minutes at a time I think.Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Roight.... (in best brummie) Soup (leftover sauce, a little rich for soup, but pretty yummy!) has been scoffed. I'm going to shape my HM burgers now, and chop up some sweet potato wedges! Yummy!
There were loads of things I wanted to comment on.... BAH!!!!
Lentils..... was it Michelle or AnW'sMum? Sorry girlies, can't remember... Thanks for that, I have an array of pulses, good job really as Lidl are still out of red lentils. But the OH bought a 2kg pack of brown lentils.... they hold their shape really well, so no good if you want to disguise them! :rotfl:
It's interesting what you said about food being too rich now, if it's just meat without something to bulk it... For me OS cooking is a trip back to my childhood. Not that my mother was a good cook.... :pale: but she could do about 50 things with mince, and would never think of not adding something to bulk out the meat. Rubber chicken was just what you did with chicken... that woman made a chicken do 3 meals for 6 of us!!!!!!!! Roast dinner, cold chicken salad and chicken soup.
Toots asked me for a recipe the other day, I've only just remembered.... and someone else too...can't remember who, or what it was you wanted the recipe for... remind me please.... sieve brain at the moment!!!!
Oh... and Michelle... hope your sister is ok.... best get well wishes and hope it's not what she fears. (((hugs)))MMSSB Club Founder Member

Since my last post I have eaten lunch, washed up lunch pots, brought in washing and ironed it, finished getting stuff ready for Friday Errand and packed up those bloomin' DVDs to send back to Guernsey..and wrapped the other ones too, so they can come back out of the car.
Now I am going to post them.
