I'm late but going to have a blitz around the room, in shock watching news and latest terror attacks. This time brits and americans have been targeted in India, omg what have we done wrong now.

Back again! Having a sit down now, housework is too dangerous. Just broke a glass as I was washing it so I have a couple of new cuts to add to the ones already on my hand! However so far today I've:

Bliimey Gryfon, it's not been your week at all has it?

    So far today I've

WMx1. Put the rest of the washing in ready for DD1 to bring her PE kit back tonight so it can be washed and dried ready for tomorrow (she forgot to bring it back yesterday after Xcountry!)

    washed up

made a batch of frozen yogurt ice-cream in my (found at the dump) ice-cream maker (and it looks fine actually and I didn't even follow a recipe!)

Ordered a new Cub sweatshirt for DS. So when it arrives I'll have to unpick all the badges from his old one and re-sew them on his new one

Tidied DD2s bedroom - only for her to go straight in and pull a load of toys out . (I really think I should swap her bedroom over with DS. I don't think that will go down well with DS though - I only swapped him over with our room a couple of weeks ago as his room was slightly bigger than the one we were in, and DD2 is in a box room)

HELP NEEDED. HAS ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS OF WHAT I CAN BUY MY DS FOR CHRISTMAS? HE'S 9 AND ONLY INTERESTED IN THE PS2 - PREFERABLY WAR GAMES  (and we've got more than enough of those )

Making a pot of tea for myself while I fill in a police check form for DH who is going on a school trip next year with DS's class. Also need to type up his itinerary for his trip to SA next year - or he'll get confuddled :rotfl:

Need to do accounts on my spreadsheet (I need to find Quattro Pro For Dummies as no sheet ever prints out the same as any other one, despite me setting them up identically )

Then it's Doctors, Post Office, pick up DS, do dinner, etc then finally finish the binding on my advent calendar!

we have mice X spotted 5 playing tag infront of the fire this morning.

I saw a couple playing tag in front of our fire a few weeks ago. We managed to catch one in a humane trap, and I know we still have some (I found evidence on the comp desk this morning) but they aren't interested in the traps. There's one in our bedroom because when I switch the light off and am settling down to sleep, the scratch, scratch, scratch, sounds very loud :rotfl:

You weren't to know. She'll be exposed to all sorts of germs which you don't know about anyway, and it will all help her immune system. Just vac up the "bits" - wouldn't want her putting those in her mouth :eek:_pale_

We're lucky today. We are just over the water from you but we have a nice blue sky. Cold though.

How are things going with you atm? Is ex-OH still being helpful?

It must be really terrifying! I don't know what kind of minds can go round just blindly, unemotionally shooting people?

Right, must go and check what we've got in for dinner tonight. I don't want to spend if I don't have to. :D

    The Facecloth

I was due for a cancer smear with the doctor later in the week. Early one
morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell me that I had
been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am .. I had only just packed
everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45 am. The
trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have any time to
    spare.

As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when
making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make the
full effort. So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pyjamas, wet the facecloth
that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in that
area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the facecloth in the
clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my
    appointment.

I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in.
Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked
over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or
some other place a million miles away. I was a little surprised when the
doctor said, 'My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven't we?'

    I didn't respond.

After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest
of the day was normal - some shopping, cleaning, & cooking.

After school when my 7 year old daughter was playing, she called out from
the bathroom, ' Mum my, where's my facecloth?'

I told her to get another one from the cupboard.

She replied, 'No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my
    glitter saved inside it.'

NEVER going back to that doctor ever
