  • Good morning all.

OJK - good luck for the interview

To all those who have been unwell - get well wishes!

I'm in the bad books again this morning. I always get up at 6.45 every morning and get washed and dressed in the bathroom because OH's alarm doesn't go off till 7.15. So this morning was like any other, until he stood at the bottom of the stairs asking if I was not finished yet. I came out in a rush, he came and used the bathroom and complained that he was now late for work. I asked what time he had set his alarm - 6.45, same as me. If he had said he needed the bathroom so he could leave early, I would have waited for him to go in first. Anyone else here expected to be a mind reader? He said last night that he had an early start this morning, but that usually means 6.30, or even 5.30.

On a brighter note, I've spoken to one potential new home for Bonnie (Swansea), they're arranging a home check asap, and have just had an email for Clyde (York!!!)

And........I'm awaiting another phone call re: job. The first one was at 8.40 because I applied for a job last night. That one has gone, but he has another in mind for me! He also asked if I might be available for interview today, as there was a session in progress!

Anyhow - thinking that I really might be back at work next week, I've deleted what I've done, and just left the not done stuff!

Check where important documents like passports, birth certificates, driving licences, medical cards are and make a note of where they are and if any need replacing, changing etc
Spend 15 minutes sorting paperwork, dealing with anything urgent NOW
Wipe down window frames in these rooms (inside) clean any marks from window
Clean out the vacuum cleaner, empty the bag/bucket, clean filters if they are washable MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUT THEM BACK UNTIL THEY ARE DRY!
20 minutes ironing time to get that pile down, and make sure you put it away!

So, I'm off to make a start, in case I get called for interview!

  • sunflwer - :hello: and welcome. We're a friendly bunch and you'll get lots of emotional support on here.

Make sure you read the first post, but remember your home didn't get in a "mess" in one day, so it will not get better in one day. The rooms come round week on week, so don't try to do too much at once, baby steps!!!

And don't forget to stick a Christmas Tree on your post, so the BOSS knows you're new!

I have two books on the go at the moment, 'Perverting the Course of Justice' by Inspector Gadget and 'Against her Nature' by Elizabeth Buchan. I am struggling to get into the second one, not sure way but I will persevere as I hate to be defeated by a book!

I'm going to do bacon, egg and sausage for brunch, he asked for it as well and actually came home smiling rather than grumping that he'd had to go out which is nice :)

    Ok so far I've done:

    Changed baby right-icon10.gif
    DW right-icon10.gif
    Cleared breakfast dishes right-icon10.gif
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Well this morning I think I have slept in the wringer!! things a bit slower but nothing yet bearable.. in view of the fact nothing is being digested I am just not bothering to eat which means I can't take any painkillers today so I am hobbling about like am old biddy.. lol.. I have a little furry knee-warmer again though I feel all popular.

Hubby took the chimps to school and booked Tiddles in all day and I feel dead mean as it is her birthday but sh eis delighted to be staying so didn't complain.. I need to sort her a birthday tea.. she chooses what we have and gets cake for afters!

I need to empty litter trays today at some point but I don't think we have any of the cat-cat litter.. only bunny-cat litter which the kittens don't like so it will have to pong until I get back from school at half three.

Hi, I am new here. I started lurking last week. After many hours of reading lots of informative posts, I thought this would be a good place to start. I have 4 children and our house seems constantly cluttered. I am hoping this will help. Thanks.Paula
Hi sunflwr welcome to the thread - i am sure you will find it helpful thats why we are all here!!!! be patient and dont try to do it all at once - what you miss this week you will catch up with next week and the rooms get easier as you stick at it. If you can achieve level one every day thats a great start and you can build from there. Its not easy with children as all the Mums will tell you so do what you can. The support and encouragement on here is brilliant. There is no such thing as failure - just post what you do no matter how small - it all counts. Welcome to the madhouse:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
