- Evening All....(sound like Dixon of Dock Green...now thats showing my age!)
Well thats me done again for the day! There is a huge pile of things waiting to go upstairs, mainly ironing which I'm going to hide in the spare room until I can face doing it
I'm really enjoying myself to be honest, I can see where I've been re the cleaning and DD1 walked in this morning and said 'Mum it smells lovely in here'(Ididnt think it smelled that bad before
)
Hubby went out and got fish and chips for our tea, so I didnt even have to cook today...now thats a bonus!
Still got masses to do in the house, but at least I'm on my way, and this time because I'm only doing it til Christmas, it doesn't seem quite so daunting! I shall need a big kick up the backside come the New Year I think.
Anyway, thanks girls, for keeping me on the straight and narrow :T
Hugs to all that need them xx

Lil_me.. I'm just too darn popular!!! lol.. and thank you!!!!!!!
Summermoon have a nice evening
Just had an arguement with DP, about our evening out, he said 'well we can just pop out for a meal then drive home when we're ready because I am not bothering drinking' and he kept going along that line so I said if we're just going to pop somewhere for a meal we may aswell just go during the day while the kids are at school and save the organising babysitters etc. Grrrr!!He'll sit there like a lemon clock watching. He's moaning about the cost because I asked if he was paying towards it, I usually pay and the other 2 times we went out this year it cost over £150.....he's now bothered about money because he's been asked to chip in. As I said it's been over 6 months since we last went out, not as if it's every week! I've ranted and left him to think about it, why do they suddenly worry about what something costs if they are paying?
Ok kids are being annoying, might have to work on lists more tomorrow if they don't settle, told them to have 5 minutes then we will start again (DS1 trying to stab DS2 in the leg with a pencil was the end of it)
Need to do some cupboard sorting and stuff in the kitchen aswell as a clean and tidy this evening. One day I might be more organised...........

Oh you on a budget? and is the budget still on despite the chrissy shopping SS?
What takeout you having?
Didn't I tell you about the budget??!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Yes, in spite of Woolies bargain snapping up, I am still on track for this week!£32 of my £57 spend will be Grandpa's pressy for DD3 who had gone Peppa Pig mad!!!!!!
We had Chinese for tea and yummy it was too!
Thanks for all the advice re DD
Have found effervescent soluble paracetamol (they are HUGE) and dissolve completely and she has had one (500mg we'll see how she does). .
Hope that helps your DD, poor thing... maybe if she knew you'd suffered the same, she'd know that you REALLY understand how she feels? Obviously packaged with all the "but we do just have to get on with it" type of bracing chat!!My DD1 is better with anything when she knows that I really and truly understand what she's going through. Just a thought.
SarahS have you thought of trying a farm for eggs, I get mine from a farm about 5 miles from here, I pay £3.25 for 30 free range eggs.
That's a good idea Lil_me, thanks for that. I'll have to do some investigating.
And... Have a fabulous night Summer Have several for me, I'm on a dry spell.MMSSB Club Founder Member

Hi all - I've had a lovely day off
Had my hair done this morning and it's all wavy and lovely - shame I can't make it look as good when I wash it!!! Then took dad out for lunch to Frankie and Benny's - great lunch deal - and yummy
Came back and lazed on the sofa for a couple of hours before doing some flying - sink, toilet and bath done, bathroom mirror cleaned, washing up done and fridge s&s.
Will find my list and catch up on the thread now!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

toots already gone into that, 1 extra stamp, 2 at the most, nothing more needed, like I said I was posting everyone one anyway, makes sense to me. Up to you, not forcing anyone. Oh and thanks but got white tshirt today, teacher said they need to be able to put it on themselves so proper toga out of the window.
Right think that's enough on the list for grandparents to choose from, need to get these 2 bathed and in bed before the heating goes off as its minus something out there so I know it'll get cold quick in here. TTFNOne day I might be more organised...........

No sooner said than done babes!!! Sounds like you're having a good time. Good for you angel.
Erm... I just made it up as I went along... so....
Squash, Sweet Potato and Coconut Soup.
1 squash (butternut or whatever)
2 sweet potatoes
3 onions
3 medium potatoes
oil/butter/marg whichever you prefer.
1/2 a block of creamed coconut
1/2 a pint milk or a mix of cream and milk.
1 pint or so of stock (I used knorr vegetable cube)
s&p to taste.
Peel and chop all the vegetables into smallish chunks
Put oil in a heavy bottomed pan... add veg and toss round to coat in oil.
Lightly sautee for 5 mins.
Add enough stock to cover veg.
Put a lid on and simmer till veg is soft.
Add creamed coconut and milk
When heated through, blitz with a whizzer. Add S&P to taste.
Add more water/milk to get your desired consistency.MMSSB Club Founder Member
