Evening all
Got sent home early from college coz the tutor decided I didn't look well. I thought I was looking better but that's three nights on the trot someone said that at college.
JAM - books, we're probably level pegging, butevery time I find a couple I'm not bothered about keeping, I take them to the charity shop and find a few I "need"! We have three full height bookshelves and four half height (stacked 2 on 2) in the den! :rotfl:Then there's another half height one in the back hall with cookery books, and a tall very slim one on the landing, and some boxes of "little people" books in the attic, and my inherited "Wonder Books" and.......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I have never used humane traps... im a "kill the barstewards" kinda girl after last time we had them and they chewed through my brand new carpet in my bedroom. So 15 mins after laying OS traps i got one the little blighters right across the eyes...... but its currently 1-1 in mouse vs me.... cos one just stole the mars bar from the trap after we reset it without it going off  :rotfl:
Had a fight with a squirrel today - been chasing it with water pistol all day - but least its not IN our loft... just using our roof as a springboard to get into the tree in next door.. it HAS dug up all my lawn to bury peanuts though.
DD is not speaking to me. She was resitting her Maths GCSE (she's 24) to try and improve her grade, so at 6.15 I collect her at the roundabout her car share drops her off at, take her straight to college, come home and scoff dinner then shoot off to Welsh for 7.00. Picked her up, she's not going to college, so I dash home, eating dinner, she reminds me that I said I'd pick her up in Bristol after work (5.30) as she's got her first RSC weekend (TA) and would be late as her car share's not there, only I mucked up, forgot and booked the puppies in at the vets where they gave me a 5.00 appointment. I said I'd cancel the vet and get them in on Monday. She started hassling, ended up in tears (over nothingcoz I hadn't even said no or raised my voice) so I just stormed out to college. Then I sent DS a text and asked him to decide what he wants to do as he and GF have to be at D of E at 6.30, DH is away this weekend, I've to go to Bristol and I don't even know who is eating dinner at our house. DD sends me a text saying she's given up Maths, so I won't need to give her lift there and I respond by saying "Thanks for nothing much", so she came back with quite a nasty text about how she's arranged things so she "won't be needing any lifts from me in future". Is it me? I've been feeling really low, weepy and emotional for a few days now and that hasn't helped, but I hardly ever do anything other than work that's just for me, I run around after them all the time and the one who needs it most (DS because of his health problem) is the one who does most to help. I asked them all before I signed up to my college courses and they all agreed it was a good thing for me to do. I'm seriously wodnering whether it would be easier just to give it all up.
Sorry for offloading, but this has really got to me and I feel really upset tonight.
Lil_me - sounds like quite a good idea re: Christmas cards, but I haven't had an email from you. (Found it in my Spam) Would a book of stamps be good and would it be better to have Large stamps rather than standard? Count me in, but I'll need to get busy writing.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Very sorry to every one but I have not caught up on all the replys from today as there seems to be way too many lol.
Not only that but it is very late and just got back from house group so feeling heavey eyed.
Just bobbed on to say Hi and give out squishy hugs to every one that needs one and to say congratulations to those that have had succesfull days flying.
I am hoping that 2moz might be a better fly day for me as my room is looking untidy and needs a quick go around. Add to this I have to finish the kitchen, which needs a heck of a lot of work. I also want to have a bin bag dance in my bedroom too. I think I may be biting off more than I can chew as I have to go to the doctors in the morning and I have some one coming in if he can make it.
I need to start making note though as I forgot to ring my specialist heamtology nurse today and this needed doing. (sorry cnt spell blood nurse lol I have von willebrands diease.)
Anys, I will love you and leave you for tonight as hopefully going to bed soon. Just need to have a stern word with my gall bladder and ask it not to be so painfull lol.
Ok Ok me is off now rambling like a mad women, Night all sweet dreams. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -
Evening all,
I'm so achy after helping OH with the wood cutting:rolleyes: . I've had a long soak in the bath but it's not helped.
Chunky i'm glad your little ones have been good. Don't go doing too much to soon though.
Lil_me i'm up for the xmas card thing, thanks for doing this and well done for thinking of it. I also have a spare white double flat sheet if you want it? I'm not going to use it as i use the fitted ones but i couldn't bear to send it to the charity shop when it could come in handy. It's yours if you want it.
I'm off to find a list for tomorrow. It will be very long though as i don't seem to be able to fly much this week, thngs keep coming up:rolleyes: .
Also Johanne, i've had problems with mice before but not since i got my sonic devise. Almost as soon as i plugged it in the problem went away. It's been in now for about a few months and i haven't had one:j . Before i got that i used the proper inhumane traps as i found these dealt with the problem easily ( just be careful Ds2 found one behind the fridge and licked the chocolate spread off:eek: )0 -
PF one stamp is fine, 2 at the most! Normal ones are fine, going to just add to them what is needed or use the stamps myself and pay the postage at the PO. Like I said I just need to put towards what I will be spending anyway sending everyone them. 1 stamps fine, max of 2, just get them sent whenever you can and the flylady postal service will sort them :rotfl: With DD ((hugs)) let her get on with it, she makes her bed, if she wants to go on like that let her. You are a great Mum and my only criticism is you maybe do too much for them! My parents wouldn't have ran round after me like that, if public transport didn't get me where I needed to be I didn't go, end of.
hollyh thanks very much for the offer but for what it would cost to send I can probably buy one, I am not being ungrateful just seems silly really, I am just thinking they are quite heavy and they do budget ones in asda for under £5 I am told. One day I might be more organised...........

Woolworth's, MFI, Currys, Roseby's, Land of Leather etc etc had heads up through the grapevine as it were about 4 months ago.But if I told you, I'd have to kill you!
Dusty - did I say cute kitten? Wonder what the foster puppies would make of it? Hopefully there will be homechecks done for both of them over the weekend.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

PF it's been mentioned in several areas they have been struggling but I NEVER expected Woolies especially to get to this stage. I think it's because I grew up as Woolies being the biggest shop really, well locally it was, for quite some time. It is one I have used less and less however, I am unsure why, possibly prices. I know someone who pulled his shares he had in the company that owns Currys about 2 or 3 months ago and I thought he was being over cautious, maybe not. I remember he said they dropped a quarter of their value in January this year.
Triker well done! Hope your DD is better soon. One day I might be more organised...........
