    Hey Hypno how's you?

I am just sitting here working through my debts now I am a single lady and I think  I could be debt free by Xmas 09 :T .

I only "think" as I am in into unknown territory when it comes to a budget for me and my little girl. So going careful this month with payments out of my "normal" money as I don't want to leave us short.

Need to up the anti in the making money area though as this can all be thrown on debts.:T

  • Hiya Doodles...
That's great news you can be sorted by this time next year! I hope to be too...my other half has delegated all the financial stuff to me too- I ballsed up today while on the phone to the bank and absent mindedly said my pin aloud.Oops, they have had to freeze my online access till they send me a new secret pin!!!Have a good night, cold here, but a nice wood fire (saves on oil!) going...
    Debt-free...and staying that way...

Hey SRM that's the kind of thing I would do, saying it out loud. How annoying though as assume you can't get on your bank online now.

I look at mine so many times each day, just in case something sneaks in or out without me knowing :o

Freezing here too although heating on low but will turn this off once DD is asleep as should keep warm till duvet time :D

So, doodledo, it is a case of "this time next year....."

How exciting!!! There are so many of us that could be close to being free of the dreaded debt in a year - how fab! Just think how much this actually means considering we are in recession! Thank goodness for this site!

Yeah I think I can do it  and going to try my hardest to do it as well.

I think its fantastic what this site does and like you say when the country is faced with a recession the fact we are all doing what we are is fantastic.

Can't wait to see this years total of debt paid off when we have the usual New Years Eve total thread :D

I felt after my change in circumstances it was time to start a new diary.

I don't intend to fill this diary with sadness of my situation but to concentrate on my future which I just know with some hard work will be fab!

So now my life consists of me (32), my little girl (3) and my puppy (18 weeks). I work full time (partly from home) and have around £15k of debt.

At the moment I can't do much regarding my debt plan as I am waiting to have "the money" conversation with my ex (first time I have written that :embarasse ).

Things are going to be tough as I want more than anything to stay in our house so that the disruption to my daughter is minimal. I also run the risk of losing my daughters school place ( she starts in April) if I move out of the village.

I am very lucky to have very supportive parents and also ones that have money, I know if I ever need them financially they are there but I WANT to do this on my own and i WILL.

I have no choice but to try and earn some extra money as although I earn quite a good wage by the time I have paid the outgoings on my own I fear there will be little left so I am open to any suggestions people may have.

I do mystery shops (few and far between in my area), I do STP although definately could do better and I do some Ebay so these things will all need to kick in big time.

I do Quidco clicks religiously but again I know there are other daily clicks out there so need to get my head round these and in to my daily routine.

Sorry if I have bored any of you lol
I haven't read any of your posts before so don't know if where you currently live is really too expensive for you, but have you checked your council's policy on moving out of the area. Here it is where you live on the closing date for applications that counts, it wouldn't matter if you moved out of catchment day after. Worth looking into if you are struggling.

    Thanks for your comments.

I am very fortunate to have a small mortgage and ex has agreed to pay half the bill so for now me and my little girl can stay where we are :D

Hi Doodledoo just wanted to pop in and say hello again. Great target for xmas 09! I'm not signing up to that but if I did achieve that - it would be fab.... I would need significant extra money tho above my normal income to achieve that...
