Are your parents elderly or maybe a little infirm?
The reason I ask is that you need to earn money, they have money, so how about you doing some work for them? A few hours of cleaning for instance, might be really handy for your Mum and, presumably you could make it fit round your other work and your daughter too!
Sorry if I'm way off the mark, just a thoughtI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Awwww my poor parents lol.
They are 63 and 65 and both very capable. In fact mums decorating today and dad is clearing the gutters lol.
For an awful moment I thought you were going to say about bumping them off :rotfl:
Thanks for the suggestion thoughProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Forunately or maybe unfortunately I earn to much by myself to claim any benefits.
Hi i am going through similar at the moment OH is going to move out but we are not sure whether to keep the facade up till christmas for the kids (we have 3) he does't work and I do and at the moment we only get the basic family credit £40 per month but when I put in my details singularly (he currently gives me nothing and will get nothing when we split) i was suprised to see the amount increase even though income remained the same. There is a calculator on Revenue website
Good luck with everything0 -
Hi Doodledoo - all the best. Hope you had a fun day out yesterday! Well done on staying so focused... I'm not sure in the same circumstances I would be like that. Remember - EAT!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'm slightly in awe of you!! You are holding things together so well, and to already be planning for the future with your daughter is amazing. More power to you!!
The money situation with the Ex will sort itself out. Not the nicest of things to have to do but must be done if you are to be able to provide a stable, comfortable home for your daughter. Good luck when that conversation occurs.
Sounds as if your parents are fantastic. I've long been a member of "Parents are the best thing on earth" club so am pleased to hear you will have support there!
Good luck and look forward to hearing your updates!!

You, your daughter and lovely puppy will have a fantastic life because you deserve it and you're showing amazing strength through such a difficult time. I'm glad you have lovely supportive and healthy parents (don't bump them off :rotfl: ) Plus if you need company, advice or just a laugh you have the MSE forum full of friends.
Take care :grouphug:Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Thank you all for your kind words they really do mean a lot
I am not sure if I am holding it together and hope I do not appear cold hearted. I am not really a sobber and I can't sit around and mope so I tend to get into automatic, bit between the teeth get on with it mode which is where I am now.
So my priority now is me and my daughter and she won't benefit from me crying, moping, slobbing on the sofa, no matter how tempting all those options seem.
I am keeping things amicable with my OH as we still need to be a family, I know we can still be a happy family even if we aren't together if that makes sense.
We have discussed money today and sorted out figures so will be pumping them into the SOA later. Fingers across I'll have a surplus lol.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
