Deleting Old Posts

We have just backed up the site and are going to try and automatically delete all threads which haven't been posted on in the last 90 days. This should relieve the search and the site somewhat.
We're not sure if it'll work but we're giving it a go. However rest assured this is a temporary measure until we install the new software.

Hiya Actually we went for older than 160 days in the end. Current posts shouldn't have disappeared, but the stickies seem to have been lost. If you spot anything missing that should be re'stickied' please can you message (in this order)
1. The board guide if there is one
2. Andrea if not
And if some current threads have gone, we've got them backed up. Truth is I made the call knowing some things would be lost, but deciding that keeping the forum online made it more worthwhile

OK so the tweak has worked and not at the same time

1. Some boards are fine - but on some boards we've only been left with the past two days
Truth is to reinstall all the posts we'd have to put ourselves where we were before. I've made a decision that we're going to move on from this point and have to face the lost posts. When we get the new software they will be reinstalled, however until then I'm really sorry if it's messed stuff up - but it does mean the boards are now working
Apologies to all for this - but it's one of those horrible decisions that have to be made sometimes
