Beauty Confessions

I openly confess to using mens shave balm as a facial moisturiser :o

I tend to find it is totally suitable for my skin type & it's cheaper as obviously my OH uses it :p Seems to last longer too which is another bonus :T

I confess to using Tesco value conditioner (13p) instead of soap to shave my legs as it gives a wonderful silky smooth finish. It is the only thing that doesn't give me chicken skin after shaving.

I always vowed to use natural cosmetics until I got fed up of nothing natural working on my skin and tryed more chemically stuff from Selfridges. Now one of the ingredients in my face wash is formaldehyde  :rotfl:
If it hurts no-one, let it be

:o what face wash is that?!

I confess I've washed my face with whatever I could find nearest that I thought would clean it - that includes hand wash, shampoo, bar soap and washing up liquid on occasion lol!

  • I confess to using Aqueous cream (£2.39 for 500ml) as it gets mascara off without temporarily blinding me. As a person with extremely dry, pale, sensitive, eczema-prone skin, it gets used for cleansing and moisturising as well, thus saving enough money for premium brand make up and perfumes.

£2.39?? I pay 99p for a huge big tub and use it for washing with (face & body) though it doesn't "froth" up. I also use it as an all body moisturiser - especially good if you use it whilst still damp from your shower - and (like Jojo) for removing mascara. As I work outside in all weathers, I also use it as a hand cream and face moisturiser, especially good when your'e in sleety wind! Downside is I don't like sticking my fingers in the large tub of it, so I have transferred it into an old soap dispenser - makes it much easier to use just the right amount. :money:
