This is very interesting - I am with Anglian too and have just had a half year bill for £426. I am not sure what to do as my charges are often estimated and, when I checked the meter, the reading was pretty accurate. However my estimated bills are usually in the £250 range and fairly close to the actual reading - I am not sure why Anglian Water should suddenly decide that the cost will have risen to £426. I have a miniscule 2 bed bungalow and only use normal amounts of water - we turn off the tap when we clean our teeth etc.!
Can anyone give me any idea of "average usage" for a 2 person family per annum?0 -

There are many veriables that can effect the amount of you water bills.
Do you both work?
Do you have a dishwasher / Power shower or have a dirty job that involves usng the washing machine more?
An average is difficult to guess but ball park figure anywhere between £200 and £350 per year.
Any more that £300 for two people you need to be questioning the bill or your water usage.
Have you done a flow test on the water meter?Helping people lower there water usage and water bills
