My 2006 resolution is to take control of my finances (45K debt _pale_ ), now that i have finally taken my head out of the sand!! :T
i will also be visiting this website regularly to get ideas and advice. :money:0 -
not a newbie but like a few people have stated on here i want to stick to the budget that i set myself. Instead of saying "oh ill just take £30 and go that much into my over draft" or drawing a tenner here and there out.
I want to try and get as much of my debt down this year if i stick to my budget then i can get nearly £6000 of my loan through overpayments.......but to do this i need to stick to my budgets....
Hopefully i can make a big impression on my debts as i want to be debt free!! :jSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -
I slipped up a little over christmas. So my NYR is to get back on track, redo my spreadsheet budget, lots of home cooking and to have a really enjoyable cheap year!October make £10/day currently £11.020

My humungous debt of £88k beats all of you put together and at current repayment levels, I expect to be debt free in 2030! I could feel suicidal but I'm making inroads - I've been with Payplan for over a year, and hope to make some full and final settlement payments to the smaller debts this year.Saving Nectar points for long-haul flights - total as of Jan '07= 54,000+ :T0

Don't lose heart r-world but £88k sounds monstrous to me or are you including your mortgage? Have you taken any free financial advice recently regarding your debt and your options?0

FRaid it's unsecured debt racked up by arranging ever-increasing loans to pay off previous loans and cc's. However, I quit smoking in August to help with repayments and am selling on ebay regularly.Saving Nectar points for long-haul flights - total as of Jan '07= 54,000+ :T0
