Hello everyone,
myself and my gf have had 90% of our savings in Icesave, but have been keeping relatively calm
I sent an e-mail to the address, and received the FSCS Icesave notification e-mail, this was back on Nov 8th.
I've yet to receive the 2nd e-mail, and today I logged onto the Icesave website, and also confirmed a number of things which are positive.
They definitely have the latest physical address (We moved last year)
They have the correct e-mail address registered (This was the one I mailed to and recieved the FSCS notification e-mail)
I also noticed, when I logge don today, that I have alongside Balance, there is a heading called FSCS Claims, and underneath it has a hyperlink labelled 'Initiate'
Do I just sit tight and wait for the 2nd e-mail?
Many thanks

No - try clicking on the link, although from what I can ascertain, the activation for compensation seems to take place at the time they generate the 2nd email. But you never know - that mail message might be stuck somewhere, so give it a try "How could I have been so mistaken as to trust the experts" - John F Kennedy 19620

I'm still waiting though :rolleyes:0 -

If you can get to the screen with account details on it and the initiation button without having gone through a declaration/disclaimer screen then nothing will happen even if you do click the button. Apparently the declaration screen comes up first so you will know just by logging in whether you can proceed“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Received my 2nd email at 11.43am today... 2 claims initiated by 12.00 so I'm looking forward to getting my money back :j0

Didn't get my email, but logged onto my account and the initiate claim button was there after the 5000th time of checking over the last few weeks. Hooray! :-)
It is worth logging on to check it I think!
Good luck to everyone else.0
