    Paid my mobile bill...........

................but got a bill for £2,950 from Uni for a course I've not attended, nor have I matriculated for!!! I started it a few years back but couldn't afford to go. Told them intended going in later years and was trying to get my employer to pay for it. Went one half day (it's a distance learning course) and got 1 workbook. Quit about 6 weeks later. Paid £100 to them by way of an abortive type fee, but nothing since. Her'es hopng they don't hold me to it!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • Hi all
Hope you all well very blustery here so fires on, curtains drawn hoping for a white out in the morning.

    Tonight
Wanted a takeaway, but not really in the mood, so why waste so much money.

Kids had a diy tea - ie anything you want just do it yourself
    - DS eating yorkshire puddings and sausage rolls
    - DD eating pasta cheese and butter
Made cullen skink - (smoked fish and tattie soup) yummerooni, reduced haddock (12p) and a tattie and some milk - cost?? 30p for a very large pot full.
About to hit the books, these kids being off is very disruptive
DD went down town with DS and they hit the charity shops, she came home with 5 videos - so won't see her for a while.
Taken oil off timer and now only using it when its baltic - so put it on 1/2-1hr in am and dont put it on til 5pm - now about to switch it off cos house is warm and everyone is infront of fires.
Moved my desk to the large coffee table by the fire and now am going tob e cosy and switch off plug in radiator.
Managed a NSD - quite by accident. Go me.

    Hope you are all good!!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Tallie, great to hear you sounding so positive and motivated. Need to kick that debt then if you want to get your own place, but definitely sounds like you can do it.

No new money saving ideas at the mo from me.
-im still plugging away at surveys, mystery shopping and matched betting.

Have you looked into matched betting? There is a fair bit of money to be made out of it. I did a matched bet the other day that made me £40.

Best of luck with it all.

Lily, so glad to here you have some money coming in, its such an awful time for it to happen. Have you looked at doing things like mystery shopping just to make a bit of money?

I wish I could get my head round matched betting. It makes my head hurt! I need to set aside half a day to read the starter thread on it. I did all that free bingo and did well out of that.
