Rubbish day today. I'm almost at my overdraft limit and I only got paid last week. Very bad.

So packed lunch all the way, then working out what on earth to do with my finances.

I think I'm going to have to clear the overdraft with a transfer from Virgin CC, which they're offering at 0% til July. It just worries me that I'v lived in overdraft land for so long that I might end up running it all up again..... ARGH!

Actually, that's not true, I did clear it last year at one point. Not for long though.

Anyway, more dfw things: checked banking (cried), will try not to spend at lunchtime, night in tonight with the DH watching a film, probably. Got parents coming at the weekend and we were going to take them out to our fave restaurant, but I've persuaded the OH that we just can't afford it, so will be cooking roast pork instead, with rosemary from the garden and vegetables we find lurking at the bottom of the fridge :rotfl:
  • Hee hee guys so do I - and so the face then the the loo too

    - also use them (new ones) to clean skirtings, and quick once over light sockets and those bits around them that get grubby. Wiping sides etc - can't imagine what they have in them that deals with just about any kind of grime!!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

    Hello everyone

Not much for me to do today:

BF transferred £110 to my account - it's supposed to be £250 a month (for rent, bills etc) but I've been so behind the last few months he's already given me £140 of it - eek!

Checked online banking - Capital One payment STILL showing as paid on my CO statement but not paid on RBS statement - it's been a week now. Am getting a bit worried but also hopeful it will be completely overlooked! Not going to spend the £350 obviously.

Pigsback clicks - none. Recently bought £10 HMV voucher so only have 52 points now :(

Supposed to be picking up two more Thorntons chocs from free voucher on back of catalogue, but it's raining.

Checked freebies board, nothing of interest.

Salad from fridge contents, breakfast from fridge contents. Snacks from storecupboard - meant to be going to Xmas markets for tea but as I mentioned, it's raining so I might not! On an alcohol free month anyway so wouldn't be forking out for any gluhwein.

Have a good afternoon everyone xx

    Hi guys,
I have been told at the job centre that it could take 4 weeks before I get any benefit so am totally skint!
I have been looking at Mbaz's thread '£20 to fed a family of 4 for a month' for inspiration.
    Today I have:
    * put in my claim for lone parent benefit
*Used gift vouchers to by DS some xmas presents
    *hung washing up to dry
*filled car up with very cheap petrol
*spoke to after school club and they have wavered the notice period :j
*spoke to the private nursery, they r going to ask the directors if they can waver the notice period (fingers crossed!)
*looked through my cupboards for anything I can chuck together for a meal :o
*paid £4.50 to park the car near job centre
*got paid but not as much as I thought
    * rang HR and they will send me a statement for my wages

I have had some more bad news, my DS could be expelled from school if his behavior doesn't improve, so looks like going back to work isn't an option at the moment
