Hi gang, hope everyone is well, so many posts to read these days, its great.

Oliveoyl, if you are anything like me, you will keep up your dfw after your df. I am not in debt but i love a way to make more money!! Or is it just the fact that everything gets more expensive anyway so the money still goes!!

Piq, really good luck with the date tonight, hope it all goes well and you have a great time, having fun is more important!

Miss P, have you investigated the fact that the 12 1/2 funded hours can't be used at nursery, can't quite understand that. Is he using them elsewhere?

Elizabeth, i always use baby wipes to take my make up off/clean face before bed. They work great and even better if you buy them when they are on buy one get one free. I have three big packs to work through!! I also use them for everything, especially lots of cleaning!!

Lily, so sorry to hear your predicament, really hope something gets sorted soon. Have you enough to keep you going until the benefits come through? Is there anyway your family can help you out. you don't have to answer those questions, just want you to know were thinking of you.

  • Fay - Did you get any work done yesterday?? I wasn't as productive as hoped but I've had a good nights sleep and made up for it today!! Feel so much better!!

These little things are all adding up and making me feel a lot more in control :)

What do people think is a good budget for the weekend? £5!? (to include any food shopping entertainment etc.)

Hi yeah got lots of analysis done - but schools just closed now so have DD home, DS best pal here until his dad can get him, DS on way home on bus and the house is mental - I often think I am sabbotaged on so many levels. The when I get peace to work, ho hum i can't focus immediately!
    lol
Anyway for a weekend - - treats and entertainment? um not sure we are always wanting takeaways - so £5 wouldnt cover that......ponder some and answer later. x
Glad you got lots done, Piq - funky tights oh my ...........................
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:
  • Hi Andan

I CAN use the hours but not to cover what he is already doing.

He goes 3-6pm twice a week but the "Free" hours can only be used between 9 and 3.30pm so no good for covering when I am at work (4-8pm). All very annoying but I do appreciate the hours are supplied to help his pre-school learning, not as an alternative to childcare.

Just going to carry on with what we are doing (with my parents paying for the chargeable time ). I'm not happy about it but will try and up my income on the mornings he's at nursery so as to pay my parents back a bit. Changing my hours at work just isn't an option at the moment. Grrr!

    Miss P
    xx
