oil filled radiators Vs panel heaters

I was trying to establish wether oil filled radiators or panel heaters are more efficent at heating a room and cheaper running costs.
oil filled
To my knowledge a oil filled radiator takes longer to heat up but then when the oil is hot it then cuts off until oil temperature cools down. Also oil filled rdaitors emit heat once turned off until it has cooled down.
panel heaters
quicker to heat up but require more constant electricty when on, also cools down quicker when turned off
Other info
NPower website states:
>oil filled raditor has two hours warmth from unit
>panel heaters have 40 mins warmth from one unit
I just dont know how reliable this information is
does anyone else have any input?

Loads of threads on this.
There is absolutely no difference at all in running costs between any form of electrical heater be that , panel heater, convector heater, oil filled radiator, infra red heater, radiators filled with any substance you care to name(including these systems that cost thousands of pounds) or Grany's old 1/2/3/bar electric fire.
It can't be stated often enough that they give out exactly the same amount of heat for your money.
The only difference is in the way they deliver the heat, fairly instant with no residual heat, or slow to deliver heat but some residual heat.0 -
Correct. All electric heating is 100% efficient but expensive!0
