bargainaddict wrote:I bought myself a waffle iron yesterday in Somerfield reduced fro 9.99.to 7.99 and they took anothr £3 off at the till. I wanted one for ages and made some as soon as I got home. Hubby is a convert to waffles and the kids couldn't eat them quick enough! If any of you have any good recipes or tips they would be much appreciated. I got one recipe with the machine but wondered how you all do them?
Wow and Wow! Another thing to go in hunt of to store on top of the cupboards with my burgeoning collection
I got a breville mixer for xmas, like a cheap and small Kenwood, but the top bit is removable so you can use it as a hand whisk too. And a sautee pan.0 -
I got a smoothie maker, made an alcoholic smoothie to toast the New Year in which was scrummy but there isn't really the space for it in the kitchen so it will probably get packed up in the box and not used again!
Also got a wok which I wanted but again, storage space is limited and can't leave it on the hob permanently but don't want to put that back in the box.0 -
I got a Kenwood smoothie maker from OH's Mum which I asked for. It's very sexy - chrome and black!
My healthier eating drive (and weight loss plan) started today, so it will be in daily use - I'm usually atrocious at eating fruit and vegetables, so figured if I can get a selection of fruit and/or veg from a smoothie every day, then that's a step in the right direction...
Happy New Year everyone and have fun with your gadgets.0 -
Lets see... "we" were bought a George Foreman & we've used it loads! Also a popcorn maker which we've used one night and it's now in the cupboard - not because we don't like it but because we haven't had a movie night since:D
Also I was bought a kitchen starter kit, not electrical but it has meant that I have two frying pans, new tea/coffee/sugar canisters, new egg cups that MATCH (), new chopping board and a few other bits and pieces. Doesn't sound like much but I'm thankful for it. The stuff we were given when we first moved in together just over 5 years ago is starting to look a manky basically! Also my Mum & Dad bought me a copy of Readers Digest Cookery Year - the newer one with both imperial and metric weights in :j:j:j:j I think my Mum just wanted her one back :rotfl:
Most suprising I found was that I received NO clothes, No smelly & nothing I don't really want. Mind you there is still my birthday on the 21st ....Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Apple-Mint - where did you get your half price blow torch from? I'd love one but cannot justify spending £20 on one!
I just got one of those Authentic V slicer things off ebay, about £10 cheaper than off the TV but brand new etc. Its wonderful! Just tried it for home-made coleslaw - yuummmmmmmmmm!0 -
I got a Kitchenaid Blender. Really pleased with it. :j
A Dualit hand blender. I think it is rubbish. Has 5 speeds 4 seem to be the same and the slowest speen smells like the motor is burning  so not so pleased with that one.0 -

Lol do you find yourself heading for the kitchen dept of the local Debenhams and walking straight past the clothing section!!
I cant help it, I just have to have gadgets.... I was a tomboy at school, so maybe that explains it!0 -
I got THIS for Christmas and I'm well happy. I'm like a lot of you, I love my kitchen gadgets!0
